We ended up doing the mountaineer experience Via Ferrata at Mt Norquay and it turned out amazing. We had never done one of these before and we were a little unsure of exactly what to expect. From the get go our guide Chris was extremely friendly, experienced, and funny. The route was challenging, but incredibly fun with beautiful views. Chris... More

An amazing first climbing experience in a beautiful location. Have to say it was really well run, the guide (Kim) was very knowledgeable, friendly and extremely good with a fairly mixed group. Felts very safe throughout, even though we aren't that good with heights. The kit we were given was all top notch and kept us very warm and dry... More

The Via Ferrata at Mt. Norquay is a must do activity for anyone visiting Banff, even those who might feel that they were of the wrong demographic age-wise. Our guide Kevin was a thorough professional and made us first-timers feel completely comfortable on our Ridge Walker climb. A terrific experience! I would also definitely recommend making a visit to the... More

Wow!! This has got to be the best activity close to Banff by far!! We have just come down to earth after 2.5 hrs of discovering the rocky heights above Banff, and discovering ourselves on a completely new experience. For a start, the ride up the open chairlift to the start point is a great experience on its own, and,... More

I did the 4 hour Ridgewalker tour. I am not fond of heights and it was terrifying, I honestly don't believe I actually did it. However, I am very glad I did. The views are top-notch and breathtaking. Our guide quickly realized how uncomfortable I was and coached me throughout most of the tour. Thanks to him I never froze... More

Best Views of Banff!!! If you're up for the challenge, this is an absolute must do!! The staff is friendly, organized and they have everything you need. They will provide rain pains, jackets, helmets, gloves and even backpacks for those who need it, FREE of charge! (We were worried if our capri yoga pants were acceptable for the climb &... More

There is a reason everyone is giving this 5 stars! We went early to enjoy a lovely lunch at the tea house up the chair lift (great and also Recommend). We followed the bookers recommendation and signed up for the 4 hour as it is a full circuit. Great experience and friendly, funny guide. Our group was 8 but everyone... More

What can I say! This was an experience to remember!!! We arrived on a drizzly day which was the predictor of our weather experience. We chose the four hour route because the two hour did not seem like it would be long enough and the six hour was simply too intimidating to me. The staff took great care of us... More

The drive up to Norquay is a good indicator of what is to come. Steep with great vistas. We registered via phone and showed up early and had lunch at the Bistro up top. Simple fare with a glass of wine with a great view. We met Kevin our guide at 3:00 and were introduced to the rudiments of climbing.... More

This is the most adventurous hike/climb we have done as a family. Via Ferrata is an Italian technique of climbing. We were 4 of us (incl. our 2 teenagers) and the climb was just exhilarating. We took the 4 hour tour and was worth the $$. Our guide was Kevin and he was fabulous. We were very reluctant before signning... More
