I booked a 3 hour ride, having no experience and being quite nervous. I travelled up for the day from Calgary and enjoyed a pleasurable walk through Banff to Holiday on Horseback. I was lucky enough to get a private ride through the forrest, with 1 guide who was lovely, knowledgable and make the tour so enjoyable. I definitely recommend... More

Just did the 2-day weekend trip to Sundance Lodge over the weekend, and I had a great time. Two days on horses is an awesome experience - great scenery, really good food (thanks cooks!), friendly helpful guides (if you lose your hat because your horse decides to walk through a tree, they'll get it for you!), and a surprisingly comfortable... Was in Calgary for the weekend for a wedding and had a Sunday afternoon free so myself and two friends decided to travel to Banff on a whim. We did the 3 hour Sulphur Mountain/Spray River Ride. The horses were beautiful and very well trained, making even an inexperienced rider like myself very comfortable. Our guide, Jon was very knowledgable... More

I went on a three hour ride on the Bow Valley loop with my husband and a guide, Eric. It was fantastic. The horses were stunning, beautiful and well fed. Very comfortable with riders. Well trained. The views were spectacular as we went up the mountains, through forestry where we were the only 3 people for miles around. We saw... More

I don't know if there are words to describe our backcountry trip. 5 days, 4 nights, in the backcountry of the rocky mountains, does it get any better? This is an experience most people only can dream of. We were kitted out with oil slickers and saddle bags, our larger duffel bags were packed onto the mules for us, all... More

This was a 4 day horseback lodge trip. The lodges were wonderful, off the grid and peaceful. The staff are really committed to providing a great experience, the company takes good care of their animals and we appreciated the home style cooking at the lodges. This trip is likely better suited for people who have done some riding although they... More

We chose Banff for our first anniversary vacation. During the 1-week adventure, we took advantage of many of the activities Banff has to offer. The 3-hour Sulphur Mountain horseback ride was one of our favorites! During those few hours, we saw everything from Bow Falls to peaceful trails in the woods to fantastic views of the mountains and the Fairmont.... More
