Really disappointing and, for the money, a rip-off. They overbooked our group and did not have enough staff or horses. To make things worse, two of the guides were very obnoxious to the riders and were yelling at them. Between their behaviour, the overworked horses (we were told they were ridden all day) and lack of staff, it did not... More

There seem to be at least three different locations (if not more) where you can book rides but the one we took was in Banff and went along the Bow River - beautiful. The cowboys and cowgirls were great and very careful to arrange the people and horses before the ride. There was a long wait but they have a... More

Let me begin by saying that I don’t ride horses. The only times I’ve ridden have all occurred on family vacations. My daughter and son both take riding lessons a few times a month, so they are more familiar with horses and riding technique. Along with me were my wife, sister-in-law, and mother and father-in law. They have even less... More

This was my 2nd visit. The guide was nice, the view of the mountains and the Bow River was breath taking. My horse was very calm and slow at times, which was okay with me. The steak lunch was delicious!

My family took the three day backcountry tour to Sundance lodge. Although inexperienced " horse people", our guide, Court, our packer, Shannon, and chef, Steve, made the trip a memorable one. We experienced true back country riding, crossing streams, meadows, lunches creek side and hearty suppers at the lodge. The Lodge is beautifully located and was the location and the... More

Horse Riding in the Mountains can be exhilarating. And when you book with these guys, your experience is likely to be excellent.Punctual, experienced, and very helpful all along the trail, and the price was fair too.

Myself, DD 8, and DS 13. We booked for 12:30, expecting to head on to next activity by 3, after the 2 hour ride. But the ride was an hour behind. I get that stuff happens, we were disappointed we weren't able to do what we had planned, and instead had to get back to Calgary. The ride started off... More

I ride horses myself, just feel a bit sorry for the horses because they are a bit overworked (I guess). Had a good and safe ride because I was paired up with a tamed old horse. The herd was led by 2 cowgirls (one in front and another at the back), they are skilful riders but cannot gurantee mis-match of... More

great activity for adults with preteen/teen kids to enjoy something out of the ordinary. The guides were great. The horses were (I thought) very patient, though they appeared hungry and kept wanting to snack on the surrounding vegetation. My arms got tired pulling the rains up to keep my horse's head up :)
