This was a very nice hike in the evening, not too long or difficult, and the view from the top would have made a much longer hike worthwhile.

Great hike - not very long, elevation change enough to get a little workout and have a great view from the top. Whole thing was maybe an hour minutes up and back.

We hiked this trail around 9:00 am and it was the perfect time for us. There was not too many people on the trail; we occasionally had people pass us on their way down and a few speedier hikers pass us on their way up. I would rate this trail as moderate and anyone who has hiked before should have... More

We walked to the top starting in the town. You head out to the edge of town along the sidewalks for 0.5km until you get to the start of the walking trail, where there is a carpark for those with wheels. Its a couple of hours up and back, obviously coming down is much faster. A moderate grade walk with... More

The trail head is right by the Banff Centre. The trails which is very well maintained cuts back up the mountain till you reach the summit. You should be a solid walker though you don't need to be a hiker at all. About 2 hrs round trip. Great views up top.

Great hiking trail. Right in town next to the Banff Centre. When you reach the top the view is stunning. It's a well traveled trail and would feel comfortable going on my own.

If you got a spare couple of hours and are in reasonable shape give this walk a go as the track is in okay condition and the views from the top are pretty good on a clear day. Worth doing while in Banff.

This took my son and I about 3 hours all in but we really strolled and stopped lots. The scenery was so amazing we had to keep stopping to take photos and just take it all in. We did this on a morning and there were not very many people on the trail at all. The summit was still snow... More

This, along with Johnston Canyon, was the loveliest hike we did in the area. It was a beautiful day for it, not too cold, and nice and sunny. Extremely pretty, and not very steep so you weren't so out of breath you couldn't enjoy it. It took about two hours from top to bottom, but we were in no rush... More

We got up fairly early and hiked this trail before check-out time at our hotel. It rewarded us with a pleasant hike on good trail with amazing views in a variety if directions. Not the most arduous climb, but enough to get the blood flowing, especially if you bumped up your speed a notch. This is the kind of activity... More
