Dave took me and my friend on a guided hike near Banff and also on a drive between Banff and the Athabasca Glacier, stopping at various places on the way. We had a fantastic two days and I cannot speak highly enough of Dave: he was incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and wildlife and showed us waterfalls and other... More

We came to Canada and Banff to (re)experience the incredible nature and had booked two full days of guided hiking with Canadian Rockies Alpine Hiking. This is the best thing we could have ever done, as our two days were incredible! Our guides were both highly experienced and very knowledgable about the history and nature of the area and love... Family hike with children (6,8,11 and 13) to top of Beehive was without question, the highlight of our trip to Lake Louise. We could not and would not have tried this without a guide. Dave Honeyman was engaging without being intrusive. He allowed our family to truly enjoy our first real mountain hike with enough challenging terrain and interesting information... More

My husband diligently researched options for a guided hike around Lake Louise, and we are grateful that the overwhelming recommendations led us to Dave Honeyman and his Canadian Rockies Alpine Eco Tours. We could not have asked for a better, more informed guide or a more meaningful experience. Our six hour trek up Big Beehive was not only tailored to... More

A group of four of us recently went on a full-day hike with Dave and it was tremendous! Dave was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us a great deal about the flowers, fauna, mountains, and overall history that exists within the Canmore/Banff area. Although the weather forced us to somewhat alter our original hiking plans, Dave was still able to create... More

We hadn't been back to the mountains in a few years (not sure what took us so long), and we were blown away. The Rockies are boasting with beautiful scenery and more. There's so much to do- hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, canyons, caves, enjoying the sight and more! We took our little guy with us on this trip, so we... More

We have recently spent a fortnight in Dave's company on a Canadian Rockies holiday arranged by HF Holidays. It was a wonderful trip, not only because of the superb scenery and pretty good weather, but also because of the attention to detail exhibited by Dave (and his very able assistant, Ward Cameron). He quickly and smoothly re-arranged hikes where necessary... More

I spent 14 days' walking in the Rockies as part of a group. Dave and our other walk leader, Ward, were very experienced and knowledgeable. They were efficient and also a lot of fun. The holiday was well thought out, and they were able to be flexible about the order in which we went on some of the walks after... More

My wife and I just spent two wonderful days in Lake Louise and Banff, hiking up the Big Bee Hive and Tunnel Mountain with Dave as our Guide. We could not have asked for a more professional, more pleasant, and more fun companion on these hikes. Not only did we get a wonderfully invigorating adventure through the wilderness, but he... We didn't get to hike as we have just been told that they are not honoring our booking because someone else wants our day and time. This had been booked for months and we have to find an alternative in less than 2 weeks in peak season.
