Stanley Thomson Canadian master golf course architect built this baby in 1928 . He had quite an eye & a perfect canvas to create a masterpiece ! What a treat to experience something so special. The boys were constantly talking to Stanley on a good shot I love you Stanley on a bad one well not so much. Views of... More

My husband is an avid golfer and we actually drove here first when we got into Banff, as a way to orient ourselves and ease into the area the first dusk when we were tired. The drive around is SO scenic, and we were in awe of the 4th tee/hole (Devil's Cauldron) - impressive and tough! Dusk was a perfect... More

Pricey course- $300 for 2, includes all hire n cart. 2 courses, the 9 hole tunnel course n the much-acclaimed Stanley Thomas course. Both are beautifully caressed by the Canadian Rockies, only the 18hole course meanders along the gorgeous Bow river. Fantastic course attendants- formal greeting AT the road, very smiley n helpful. Hire gear- brand new Adidas footwear n... More

Best place to view mama and baby elk! After dinner cruise through the golf course revealed several families making their way to the greens and fairway for some snacking! Must really keep the groundskeepers busy! May be one of the most scenic golf courses around! Certainly proceed with caution! The elk are quite large and unpredictable!

It's a pricey course, and if that matters to you, consider it a once in a lifetime and do it. The course is beautifully maintained and the views are unbeatable. The 13th and 14th holes face the Fairmont Spring Hotel and provide great photos/backdrop. On occasion you might find friendly wildlife on the course with you. If your hungry before... More

I am not a golfer but the views from the golf course are breathe taking and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Very easy to work with for company events.

It was hard for me not to like this course being a fan of Stanley Thompson's designs (he designed many of the most famous Canadian courses). But it completely lived up to expectations and playing it on a clear and sunny Canada Day (literally--July 1st!) made it all the better. Thank you!

We just returned from our elopement/honeymoon in Banff and stayed at the Fairmont. While I'm not a golfer, I can appreciate the beauty of golf courses, especially this one! My new husband played the Tunnel 9 and loved it (I drove the cart). The staff was courteous and helpful and even gave us a commemorative stamped wedding golf ball. We... More
