Beautiful views, Fun and beginner level hiking. Even great for young kids. Cold in the winter so bring extra clothes or layer up.

This is our usual entry point into Banff after we come off the highway. I like to tell our out of town visitors of the cemetery and then show them the Hoodoos! Then I point out the Banff Springs Hotel, the golf course, the Sulphur Mountain Gondolas and Sleeping Buffalo in the distance. This road also takes us through the... More

It was a twenty to thirty minute drive at a slow pace taking in the mountains at the back of Banff. Camping for RV's and campers. Walks up the mountain available. Very pretty.

HIghlight of this run is definitely the Surprise Corner, where you can view Bow River Falls and the Fairmont. This is not a long drive so you can wedge it in a short amount of open time. If you have limited time though, pick the Bow Valley Parkway instead. It's really a special little road trip.

Nice scenic drive. I used the Tunnel Mountain Drive on numerous occasions to get from Tunnel Mountain Resort and the Banff Centre. Loved the scenic view of the town along this drive. There is a very nice lookout near the bottom,

The drive up Tunnel Mountain, is great. The last lookout is the very best. You can park and hike a short distance to beautiful views of the Hoodoos, the Bow river, and great view of The Banff Springs Hotel.

Every time I go to Banff, I take a drive on Tunnel Mountain. The views are amazing and there are some fantastic lookouts to stop at and hike around a bit and of course take photos of the majestic mountains and valley.

We enjoyed this drive and stopped at the hoodoos trail for a short hike with a great view of the valley below and the Fairmont hotel.
