Also a must see. Very interesting rock formations. There are also great views of the Bow Valley and Fairmont Springs Hotel Golf course. Lots of great hiking trails and camping.

A nice scenic drive through a winding paved road. Easy hike through the trails to see the hoodoos. Great view of the Bow Valley. It was a bit foggy in the morning when we went. Recommend going in the later in the day, less foggy. Saw a herd of deer near the roadside as well.

Compared to other drives and sites around Banff National Park, this one is pretty weak. I want to disclaim that right away. So if your visit is short on time, keep moving, there's better. However, if you have time to fill and don't want to travel far from the town: this is a nice option. 1) Along the drive it's... More

Drove along Tunnel Mountain Drive a couple of times during our week long stay in Banff. You saw mule deer grazing on the grasses at the edge of the campground early one evening. In addition, there are a number of viewing points along the length of Tunnel Mountain Drive that provide excellent views of the surrounding area. Doesn't take long... More

Take this drive to get great photos of the Banff Springs Hotel, hike the trails, see the Banff Art School and the town itself. Be sure to stop and hike up Tunnel Mountain.

I've never stayed in the lodges off Tunnel Mountain Drive but I've walked to it from the town. The views are stunning and we always spot wildlife of some sort - this year it was a stunning male and female deer! So humbling and worth the long walk.

On Tunnel Mountain Drive you can see the Hoodoos here. Also, great view of the Bow river and great location to camp with spectacular view of the Rockies!

Loved the new red Andirondack chairs along the walk. The view was spectacular. Someone had placed some hearts and cupids along the way for Valentine's Day!
