Great road to drive along around the side of Banff. The road is a few km long and can be walked if you want. We drove, parked and hiked up Tunnel Mountain to the peak which was nice too. Saw some elk/deer on the road too which was ideal as I like a bit of photography.

Drove Tunnel Mountain Drive to take the kids though the mountains. We pulled off the road a few times to stretch and check out the scenery. It was fantastic. Fresh air, the smell of pine. Along the route around the industrial area we found an off leash dog park. The area was quite large and fenced. Water was provided along... More

I hiked this mountain 4 days a week while based in the town for 6 weeks. I was here in Jan/feb and June/July 6 weeks each time. The grounds were kept very neat and the wild life was superb. A busy spot in summer and campers move at a slow pace. Beautiful place over all- well worth a visit. You... More

Leaving Banff I decided to take a detour off the main drag & enjoy the scenery while my husband napped on our way back to Calgary. No time for napping! We saw elk forging in the fresh snow, took a walk along the edge of the mountain to look down at the river, follow tracks left from rabbits & elk... More
