Amazingly beautiful icefield, but of course that credit goes to God! The Brewster bus tour onto the icefields was fun but way too short, not enough time to spend once you're up there. They were definitely trying to maximize as many tours as they could into a day. All this being said, I still think its a must go, as... More

When we were children we could walk up the glacier from the highway and slide down. it's a very long walk to do that now. If you made it all the way, spend the extra cash and on the Ice Explorer to experience them up close. They are amazing. The vehicles themselves are awesome and an engineering marvel but the... More

I called the Icefield Glacier Adventure early on in my trip planning to the area. I had planned to make a reservation but was trying to decide on the time. The Icefield representative told me they had never sold out and she had never had anyone wait more than an hour for a tour. So I did not make a... More

We drove from Canmore to Jasper to go to the Athabasca Glacier and the skywalk. The facility was crowded which was frustrating at times. That said, they do a pretty good job in getting the line ups through with minimal confusion. We really enjoyed the snow coach going to and from the glacier. The driver was amazing and very entertaining!... More

I visited the Icefields over two days in summer 2015. I purchased tickets to the Glacier Adventure (bus ride onto the glacier), and Glacier Skywalk. Unfortunately the company running the location seems to prioritise revenue over proper enviromental stewardship. From graders actively grooming tracks to allow antiquated and poorly maintained off-road vehicles (visibly rusted and falling apart) to run up... More

We visited the Icefield on a tour group. It was well worth the visit, the icefield is such an amazing experience. We had to take the desginated huge-tyres bus to ride up to the icefield. It was a sunny day but once at the icefield, it was really windy and cold. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes as it can be... More

Arrive at the restaurant for lunch on organised trip. Bit of a cattle market and long queues but food edible and plenty of it. On to coach and up to Icefield. Looks formidable from a distance but nearer it starts to look dirty and dusty. Ice buses are exiting and interesting and these take you on to 'what's left of... More

We bought the skywalk and icefield combined package and it was really fun! You can bring an empty bottle to try the water from the icefield - icy but tasted great with a hint of sweetness. Bring a jacket as it does get cold on the icefield. A must do at Banff!

You can actually feel the energy beneath your feet once your boots are on the Ice This is definitely one of life's bucket list ticks especially incorporated with the Icefield Parkway drive from Banff or Jasper dependant upon your direction of travel.
