They drive you to the glacier which takes 20 minutes. Then you get to walk around for 20 minutes. Then they drive you back for 20 minutes. Kind of expensive for a 20 minute walk on the glacier.

Very well run organization, very caring for wheelchair guests. This tour allows wheelchair guests to fully experience the glacier. They will take you in an accessible van to the snow bus with a guide, then lift you up into the snow bus, a guide stays with you and it is very safe. They do however have limited space and guides... The Columbia glacier field is of course one of the main attractions in Alberta. It is already a beautiful ride to it from jasper or form Banff. But there are so many of these beautiful scenes. From a distance it already looks magnificent. You can buy a ticket for a ' bus ride' to and over the Glacier. For a... More

Great experience to be on top of the Glacier.Really great trip .Wish we could spend a little longer time since you have to be escorted in the bus .The weather was excellent when we visited there in July and the mountain peaks were covered with snow.

This is a wonderful experience. The drivers of the massive wheeled glacier buses were both funny and professional. We spent 30 minutes on the glacier which was as deep as the eiffel tower and is melting at 10 metres each year.We need to save these features for future generations.Awesome.Never to be forgotten

This is a once in a lifetime experience. It is a busy tourist attraction but very we'll run. The trip on the snowmobile was an experience and standing on the icefields was awesome . An amazing experience.

This is truly a spectacular place to view numerous glaciers and even walk and play on the glaciers! Do not, however, waste $160 to go on the ice field tour bus or the Glacier Discovery Walk. With a little effort, you can see the same thing for nothing more than a bead or two of sweat. Instead of wasting your... More

This is one of those must-do attractions if you're traveling between Banff and Jasper, Alberta. Don't be fooled by the dated appearance of the building or the crappy, over - priced cafeteria food. This is worth it. Once you get ip on the glacier you will be nlown away. The tour is safe and accessible. The guides are friendly and... More

This is a very instructive tour on the glacier. The initial trip to the glacier is made in a greyhound bus that brings the people to the Ice Explorer vehicles, reason being that the Ice Explorer vehicles are very slow (about 10 kph). The driver of the bus Ice Explorer was very informative and funny while explaining all the manoeuvers... More
