Lucked out by taking the Gondola ride right at the end of the day. Admittedly we had to rush a bit to get up to the meteorological hut, but the sun low in the sky made for spectacular views.

Despite hating cable cars and heights, managed to cope with the gondola ride up to the viewing platform. Well worth it for the fantastic views and the walk up to meterological hut fairly easy going but the last bit is very unlevel and you need to watch your step as a fall here would hurt.

Convenient as very near downtown of Banff. Excellent and clean cable car, and you can reach the top of Sulphur Mountain. With Banff under your feet while surrounds by mountains, you will never forget the experience.

Took gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain. I booked tickets online to avoid the queues. That was great decision. Great views. You can see whole Banff. Wildlife if you are lucky. A must do when in Banff.

My wife and I took 2 of our Granddaughters , ages 13 and 14 , who were here from Eastern Canada and had not seen the Mountains since a very young age. What an Experience !!! They both loved it and Granma and Opa did too. The View from the Platform was absolutely priceless and was well worth the Admission.

This is an amazing ride, you feel a little strange going up so high but that passes pretty quickly if you just look at the scenery as you climb up. We were fortunate to get their early and did not have to share our gondola with strangers. It is normally for four people but because their was no line up... More

Thinking the usual gondola ride, no, quite the difference, the cars were small & the travel time was quick to the top of the mountain. Spectacular views from 2,000 m, worth the effort.

The gondola ride itself is not very interesting but the platform and stairs at the top are great. The walkway is fairly long and the views from the top are spectacular. The weather was perfect.

We visited on a Sunday and bought the brunch and lift combo ticket. The views were unbeatable! The meal was average, but satisfying. Nice walk to the observation point, all boardwalk so not a difficult path. A long line up for a gondola back down but the line did move fairly quickly.

My daughter and I went up the gondola for the Alpine Lights Friday night prime rib dinner. Considering that heights bother the both of us, it was absolutely wonderful. Loved the ride up and down. We had the prime rib dinner at the second seating. The prime rib plate was the best I have had in a long time. Everything... More
