My daughter and I went up the gondola for the Alpine Lights Friday night prime rib dinner. Considering that heights bother the both of us, it was absolutely wonderful. Loved the ride up and down. We had the prime rib dinner at the second seating. The prime rib plate was the best I have had in a long time. Everything... More

Our family went on this gondola ride when we were recently on vacation and it was well worth the time and money! The views all the way up are wonderful and the views from the top are breathtaking. Once you get to the top you may stay as long as you like (until they close, anyway) and there are trails... More

Everything you want from a tour. On time, pleasant very knowledgeable driver and awesome scenery. We saw Triangle Island, lake and mountain, Patricia Lake, medicine Lake with a rare eagle nest and finally the amazing Maligne Canyon and Lake. It was very well paced with time for lots of photos and as a bonus we saw a black bear and... More

You can hike around on top, too. Awesome view. We did not do much hiking on the top, but I would like to do more when I have more time. Make sure to bring water and some snacks as what they offer is not cheap and they do not have drinking water fountain accessible.

During our visit to Canada recently, my wife and I took a ride on the Banff Gondola which attracts a large number of tourists every day. You have to stand in a queue for a fairly long time for your turn to come. The ride is a good experience and gives you a good aerial view of the Rocky Mountain... More

Awesome experience at the Banff Gondola. Stunning view of the rockies, a good hike to the other side. It really is a must if you're in Banff.

I just loved the breathtaking view, it is definitely a must in Banff! Just make sure you are wearing appropriate warm clothes cause it gets pretty cold up there.

We decided the best time to fit in the Banff Gondola ride during our trip was on Canada Day, which made for a crowded experience. We had to park down the street and walk up to the bulding. It cost $35 dollars a ticket which is a bit pricey, you can hike up the mountain and then just pay for... More

The tickets were expensive, but once we arrived at the top it was worth every penny! It only takes about 10 minutes to reach the top and once arrived there is a wooden walkway that you can take all the way to the tippy top of Sulphur Mountain. It is a solar ray station. The walk is easy, my two... More

Having visited Banff many times, we always try to take our 'out of town' guests on the Gondola ride. We have been on this many times, so we don't go on it often unless we have guests with us, but even though the ride is awesome, and the view from everywhere is simply breathtaking, the cost is ridiculous!! I am... More
