We had such a great time on our hour long canoe trip.. Our guide was a lovely lady called Magda..She made the whole thing much more enjoyable through her enthusiam and information about Banff and the surrounding area. This alone made a huge difference coupled with the ride itself on nice blue waters. Would sail again and highly recommend..Oh and... More

fabulous way to see the country. Helpful, friendly staff and easy even for people who haven't rowed in a while.

We arrived just after 5 pm (closing at 6pm), so they discounted their rate nicely. It gave me incentive to return a few minutes early to let them lock up their equipment (except for a couple of canoes full of girls not even trying to return close to the hour). They were very friendly and accomodating. A nice spot with... More

Just a few blocks from the main drive in Banff is a wonderful little canoe and kayak rental spot. Easy as can be - show up, give them a photo ID to hold on to, grab some paddles and lifejacket and your canoe awaits! There's nothing like experiences that beautiful deep teal water than being right in it! We loved... More

First , if you don't have a car, the Blue Canoe Rental office is easy to find , and a short walk . From downtown banff head towards the Bow Bridge, turn right at the Parks Museum onto the river path and follow for around half a mile. Once there you have the choice of Kayak or Canadian canoe, we... I do not consider myself a great athelte, but I do like to relax and Kayak. We had a Groupon for two hour rental and paddled up the river. It was a pleasure to do in the afternoon after a big lunch. Water is chilly to dip the fet in, but scenery is nice and calming.

We took advantage of the last 2-hour discount (7pm to 9pm--2 hrs for price on 1 hr). My wife and I rented a canoe and had one of the best experiences of our vacation. We saw a beaver and watched it for about 5 minutes. The Bow River is full of beautiful scenery! You will not regret this activity.

You can paddle upstream on the Bow River or paddle on the Vermillion Lakes. I couldn't quite believe one could actually paddle the canoe upstream but here it is possible, not saying you get far. We traveled for 1 1/2hrs and supposedly got 2- 2 1/2 miles upstream. So one gets exercise and gets a view of the mts without... More

Can't get more convenient as the boats are right on the edge of downtown. Great fun on the voyageur for the oldies an young ones - Alan was a fun guide. The rest of us rented canoes and I was a bit surprised that they didn't ask if any of us had any experience or knew how to steer.... The... More

Firstly how to get there - from Banff Avenue (near the Tourist Info Office) head down Wolf Street towards the Bow River and at the end of the road there is parking for the Blue Canoe office (staff were quick to check that we weren‘t just parking there for other reasons!). No booking was required and when we visited at... More
