It's a small device that you plug into your car or RV stereo and it automatically plays commentary on the best things to see and do as they come into view. A team of professional tour guides has filled GyPSy Guide with stories, facts, tips and advice to make sure you don’t miss any of the best attractions and sightseeing. The audio is recorded by real people and plays as you drive, just like listening to the radio. « less

This was absolutely worth every cent and maybe more! The narration on this navigation device was informative beyond belief. We surely would have driven past many places without any real interest, but when "gypsy" informed us on the history of the areas, it made our trip so much better. We could have easily driven along roads and not paid particular... More

My wife & I used this from Vancouver on our road trip via Whistler, Jasper, Banff and back to Vancouver. We both found the information and guidance presented added real value to the trip - just like having a local guide sitting in the car telling you all the background, history & insights into everything you saw. It suggested places... More

The target audience for the GPS-based automated tour guides is a vehicle-based traveller in unfamiliar territory. Banff, and the Canadian Rockies are very familiar territory for me, so I'm bringing a different perspective to this review. I've spent a lot of time in the Canadian Rockies since my first visit in 1956, am a senior editor for the Canadian Mountain... More

This was a great bit of kit easy to set up and full of little bits of infirmation about the area. We hired our unit from Discover Banff Tours Lucy in the topur ofice was very good at running us through how to set it up and explained how it worked, she was very good at explaining that it would... This was a very expensive toy to have on our trip, and it was a luxury that my husband and I argue about to this day whether it was worth having on our trip. I got the Gypsy Guide because of all the glowing remarks we saw on TripAdvisor. My husband was rather surprised when he heard I had splurged... More

Picked it up in banff, enjoyed thru Rockies, kelowna, Victoria and dropped it off in Vancouver. pIckup was fast, quick tutorial and off you go, drop off was fast tto. It was like having a local guide in the back seat. 8, 11 and 13 year old definitely learned alot about Canada's history and geography. Can't imagine either of us... More

This is a GPS controlled device we rented and fastens on the windshield like a GPS. It works as a travel guide and gave us a conducted tour of Edmonton, Calgary, Jasper to Banff, and all of BC. It was like having a tour guide in the car with us. As we drove along it would tell us about all... More

On advice from friends who had rented one, we picked up our Gypsy Guide at the Calgary airport. It provided priceless info during our 9 day vacation in Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise, plus other points of interest along the way. Like being on a first class tour, but having the flexibility to do what we wanted, when we wanted.... More
