Challenging hike with tons of switchbacks but when we reached the top my wife and I felt like we scored an accomplishment! 2 1/2 hours with breaks that we took the last hour. Very narrow paths.

Everyone who worked there was amazing and super friendly. I really liked cruising the gift shop when we were done. Being on top of the mountain, even though you couldn't see much due to the snow, is still an amazing feeling. We had a snack and coffee at the top and because there weren't alot of people there, we were... More

It was brilliant sunshine on the day we went up the mountain in the gondola and it had snowed the night previously. (First snowfall that early in September in 75 years). The views all around were magical. The tracks around were still icy but could be managed with care. The views over the town of Banff were great as was... More

Getting to the top by cable car - 'gondola' - you find the top has been customised with concrete paths, steps and platforms for ease of access. There are also natural walking trails for the trekkers. The facilities at the top are as good if not better than any similar spot in Switzerland. The views over Banff are spectacular and... More

Took the Gondola to the top; after purchasing the adventure package in town. This included the tour of Lake Minnewanka, the Glacier Experience and the Skywalk as well as the Gondola. The gondola trip takes a few minutes, but the lines were not bad. Once on top, you have walking pathways that lead to some incredible views; especially of the... More

Riding the gondola to the top is a great way to enjoy the view up and down the mountain. When on top, you get a magnificent view both down onto the town of Banff, but also on the other side up towards the Columbia Ice Fields. Plan to spend plenty of time watching how the changing sunlight changes the view.... More

A gondola rise takes you to the top of the mountains where there are a couple of walking trails and great views over the surrounding Rockies.

What a fabulous trip up the mountain with exceptional views of the valleys worth visiting, we also added a visit to Banff Spring Hotel, Bow Falls and Tunnel Mountain. An excellent Day.

We arrived at the base of the gondola first thing in the morning so we got to avoid the crowd. Atop the gondola, the view of the surrounding mountains was just amazing. We got to see the downtown Banff and a nearby golf course from the bird's eyes view.
