You need to be a serious walker to walk up to the top of Sulpher Mountain, so we got the Gondola. A very small queue and 5 minutes later we were at the top. At the top you get ones of the biggest views I've ever seen, looking down at Banff with all the huge mountains surrounding it. Wait until... More

We had a great time, taking the gondola up the mountain, it is something my family will always remember! The day we went it was incredibly cold, but we still had an amazing time. The view at the top is nothing short of spectacular. Definitely don't miss this attraction if in the Banff area.

Wow. Seriously this was the highlight of the area for me. We went up on the Gondola early in the morning before the crowds. There is a wonderful wooden walkway linking the gondola station to the weather station and is a very easy walk with some steps. You will get to see so many things from high up there and... More

This is a must see attraction! Just don't miss "The Quiet Side"!!! The view is amazing from there and the hike is not too difficult. There are three ways to see the sulphur mountain, two of which are useless if you want to experience the mountain. The first way is to ride the gondola up and down. Pros: Quickest way... More

Taking the Gondola up Sulphur Mountain is exhilarating as it rises 5,000 feet in 8 minutes. There are stunning views from this whole area- Cascade & Rundle Mountains, the Bow River, the Fairmont Banff Springs & sub alpine vegetation. What is even more exciting is the long walkway to the summit where former scientists lived & worked is a very... More

Recently took the gondola to the top of sulphur mountain, The views are breath taking. Even hiked around up top and ate at the summit cafe, little expensive but delicious Poutine! Its alot of fun and something you should do once. Fairly reasonably priced!

Considering that my husband is arp fraud of heights, we still opted to go up on the gondola anyway....it was worth ever penny to see the look on my husband's face when we first took off! He was clinging to the seat and didn't much appreciate me jiggling the car as we ascended the mountain...I'm so cruel! LOL. The view... More

My husband and I walked/hiked up the mountain and it was a very nice experience. This was the first mountain I had climbed and found it quite a challenge but felt like a whole new person once I reached the top, it was very rewarding. I give 4 stars because everything at Sulphur Mountain is quite pricey!! Just the ride... More

Have been there many times. 1st time was great! Everything new! but then the next visits were to show the place to my family and kids. Then, there is no much new to see. I think it is pretty expensive. You can spend around $150.00 for a family of 4 even if not more than that. Make sure you google... More

The experience overall was very good. We tend to go up off peak hours to avoid the line ups to get on the gondola and again coming down. The ride up and back on the gondola is the most amazing way to see the valley. Our little one was full of excitement seeing the "Little Castle" (Rimrock Resort) and the... More
