We drive there atleast twice a year and its the best. We liked it more than Jasper. There are bunch of hotels but its best to carry your own food. The best part is there plenty of places to take rest and let kids play around.

We drove from Jasper to Banff, stopping at Athabasca falls, Columbia Icefield discovery centre, the trip onto the Glacier followed by the Glacier skywalk, then on to Banff. We spent a more time than I would have liked at the discovery centre getting tickets for the attractions, then getting coaches to go to the glacier and the Skywalk. We came... More

the view is unbelievably gorgeous in certain parts that everyone should see and experience at least once. however if you are the driver, please keep your eyes on the road and your senses on alert for sharp turns, wild animals unexpectedly on the road or coming out of the bush suddenly. the receding glacier is worth the stop and so... I've traveled abroad multiple times and have seen much of the USA. The Icefields Parkway is without a doubt the most amazing drive I've ever done. "Scenic" or "beautiful" don't give it proper justice. This drive winds through the most majestic section of the Canadian Rockies. The SCALE of these mountains is off-the-charts!! As you drive from Banff to Jasper,... More

I took a bus load of Korean exchange students there and found all the activities VERY over priced. Probably won't stop there again with the bus.

A great way to see the Rockies with some wild and beautiful attractions to see along the way. Waterfalls, Glaciers, Canyons and mountains. It's a dream come true.

This route gives you hours of pleasure just looking at the scenery ( if you're not driving!). The mountain ranges go on and on , especially to the Westerly direction from the road. Do take time to stop at some of the viewpoints on the way. You will not be disappointed. Look out for the special bridges over the road... More

If you can make the time to drive the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper you are in for a real treat. Spectacular mountain vista's, lakes, wildlife, and more await around nearly every turn of this 230 km long stretch of road. Try to allow yourself plenty of time for side excursions and taking pictures. Limited services are available so... More

I've been in many places on this continent, this is one of my favorites. I stayed here for a few days and explored quite a bit. The glaciers of breathtaking. If your near the area or planning a visit, you will not be disappointed. A must see and do.
