Once in a life time adventure riding in the glacier megabus. Great experience, loved the attraction. Highly recommend to go early in the morning to avoid crowds. Also poor food quality in their restaurant, but who cares, the glacier and story telling by the tour conductors is amazing

Lots of tourists. including our coach tour. The glacier is awesome. The trip is well narrated and a history lesson given as we travelled. Walking on the glacier is confined to a small area with staff watching for danger points on the area where people are walking. When we returned to the visitors area it was total chaos. If you... This has been called one of the best drives in the world and it lives up to that name. There are glaciers everywhere (off in the distance) and there are glacier lakes that are an amazing color of blue. There are more scenic pull-offs on the road than the main road that goes through Banff. The scenery is so much... More

Never get bored as you look out the window! Things to see spaced out so just when you need a stretch something comes up to explore. Does get busy though so suggestion would be to start early to beat the rush! Pre-book tickets for Columbia icefields-definitely worth it! And bring an empty bottle with you to the glacier adventure to... More

Set aside a good 5-6 hours (round trip) for this amazing drive (starting at Lake Louise going north towards Jasper). Even if it is drizzly in Banff, the weather changes and clears up (usually) as you move north and upwards in elevation. See the Bow Glacier and Lake (it flows all the way to Calgary and beyond) and by all... More

This was a fun stop on our trip. Our older teens thought this was one of the better sites we visited. The tour drivers were lots of fun. Take money for gratuities. You don't get to do this very often in life so take the time to visit.

The Icefields Parkway drive is undoubtedly one of the most awesome drives there is. Every turn leaves you thinking it just can't get any better, but it does. You experience glaciers up close, wildlife and beautiful flowers. As far as nature goes, it just does not get any better than leisurely drive on this parkway.

Great drive from Bannf/Lake Louise to the Columbia Icefields and on to Jasper. The photograph worthy sights keep coming just after you leave the Parks Canada checkpoint! Make sure you have plenty of time to stop at Bow Lake and admire the views not just of the crystal clear blue/green lake but also the glaciers. If you zip through to... More

This is my second visit to the Columbia Icefields. I am not particularly thrilled by it (perhaps I have spent some snowy winters in Toronto).
