Athabascar Glacier is a definate must see place. To get out there you have to go on one of the big snow mobiles, but it is just majic to stand out on the glacier itself. I would recommend this to anyone who is in this area more

The guides were fantastic, explaining as we went along. The tour was a little pricy for my taste, but it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Icefields Parkway is like nothing we have experienced before. The sights along this road are unbelievable. We traveled as far as the Park Headquarters, and viewed the icefields from there, but did not go out on them in the vehicles they have. You can get a good view without doing that, if you don't want to spend the money.... more

Skiing was convenient and terrific while we were in Banff. Buses came to the hotel often to take us to Sunshine, Lake Louise or Norquay. We skied them all. The breathtaking scenery was almost as good as the slopes. more

Canada has really done it extremely well for the aficinado of scenic driving in the mountains. The mountains are the Canadian Rockies in this case and superlatives are in order. One of the most beautiful roads I've ever seen... around every corner there's a new breathtaking snowy vista. I used at least 5 rolls of film during the day. But if you stop for lunch at the Columbia Glacier, don't buy the cafeteria food! It was truly awful... but the scenery made up for it. more
