OK we were there in the winter time for the skiing but I would suggest you take a day out and have a look around here. The waterfalls are just magnificent, frozen giants quietly waiting spring to come so they can roar again. One tip, take a good set of boots with good snow tread and/or cleats for some of... More

We just returned from a beautiful/memorable holiday in Banff. Took 2 Brewster tours (Gondola & Icefield) and totally loved, appreciated every minute. The guides and drivers were AMAZING! We learned so much & never had to take our eyes off the scenery. We've driven the route before, but this is the better way to do it, so informative. Our questions... More

We drove the parkway on a beautifully clear spring day. A lot of the side trails were still closed. Still lots of stops heaps of photos. We drove Canmore to Jasper, and I felt we were driving with our back to the view? Mountains, lakes, rivers all the things we do not have. Very sad that climate change adversely affects... More

Even though the weather was bad that day (April 13), it was unforgettable. Pretty sure it's the most awesome route in the world with blue skies! Guess i'll just have to return...

This is an incredible drive! The mountains are spectacular, and there are lots of places to pull off for a great view, a hike, waterfalls, canyons, etc. I recommend downloading the Gypsy Guide app for the Parkway. It’s run off GPS and gives you a heads-up about what’s around the corner so you can determine if you want to stop.... More

I've been to the ice fields several times throughout my life and I'm always amazed at how much smaller it gets each time. It's sad that we're slowly losing this glacier, but such is the way. If you visit be sure to take the snow bus tour, it's a great experience being on top of the ice.

I have travelled the Icefields Parkway twice, once in the middle of winter and then again in summer. I preferred the summer drive as it wasnt so cold to get out of the car at every lake and take photos, although winter was beautiful as well. It took about 6hours to drive as we stopped at every opportunity to take... More

The trip is easy by car and fun. There are long stretches with no facilities so make sure you bring water and a snack in your back. There are so many beautiful places to stop, so plan to spend the whole day. We went all the way to the ice fields and took the tour up to the glacier (highly... More

Driving the Icefields Parkway is so beautiful! So many twists and turns, hills and bends....some of the views are spectacular! It's a long road from Lake Louise to Jasper, and even if you're just doing a drive, there's always great places to turn around part way. It's an easy drive if you just want to drive!
