This walk was recommended to us before we arrived in the Rockies. Lake Louise is stunning but SO busy with people taking photographs that it was good to get on the trail up to Lake Agnes. It is a hike but well worth it if you enjoy walking. There are some great views along the way and you can reward... More

We went up as a family of four (children 12 and 14) and all enjoyed the march up, and down. The tea house at the top made a fun target destination and while this place is a little pricey, when you understand how all the food and fuel makes its way up there, and the human effort required to maintain... Bring your guests here; this hike is perfect for show-and-tell. You start with beautiful Lake Louise, then get a good workout hiking up to mirror lake. From here you get fantastic views of Big Beehive (another hiking option). Continue on to Little Beehive for amazing views of Lake Louise down below and the surrounding mountain landscape. On the way back... More

Lake Agnes trail has amazing views and options for additional hikes. The Tea House was the reward. Tea, views and celebration of a hike well done! It's worth the effort and time.

It was a much more difficult trail than I thought, and I'm in great shape. It was well worth the elevation gain, however - the lake is gorgeous and the tea house was amazing. What a great little gem in the middle of such gorgeous terrain.

In June my husband and I walked to Lake Agnes. We pushed our pram as far as we could (approx 2/3 way)then walked the rest of the way with our 2 young boys. It was all uphill and took us about 1 hour 10 mins. We all loved not only seeing the Lake (partly frozen), having scones and tea, but... More

I've taken this hike a dozen times in my life having grown up near Lake Louise and it is a completely different experience in the offseason (much better) than in the summer. Took some friends today and, while it was beautiful as always, it was also uncomfortably busy. If you must go in the summer be sure to get an... More

Nice trail to Lake Agnes and the tea house, very crowded near Lake Louise, but thins out the higher you go. Slippery areas, sometimes too crowded with groups and the teahouse is worth hiking to. Unfortunately you may not get a spot in the teahouse, for a proper break, when we went early in the morning it was packed. Moderate... More

This was our favorite hike in Lake Louise area. It is quite a climb up, but well worth it. The tea house is very cool (great varieties) and the lake is gorgeous. We ran into a lot of snow on the hike and most of the lake was frozen over still. Don't miss it if you can.

Oh...my...gosh! After a long, uphill climb through a combination of dry trail, snow, ice and mud, we arrived at the lovely, quaint and oh so welcome Lake Agnes Teahouse. For older hikers with bad knees, hiking poles are a definite plus, as is pausing every once in a while to enjoy the absolutely incredible vistas of mountains, glaciers and pristine... More
