We had a pleasant morning hike, capped off with a light snack at the Lake Agnes tea house. This is a medium difficulty hike. We did see a few people with 'normal' shoes or even sandals but you'll enjoy it more if you have sturdy sneakers or light hiking boots. It can get a little crowded so you to well... More

Beautiful place but unfortuantely very crowded. Well worth to visit. Great hike around the lake. Amazing views and great photo opportunities. You can rent a canoe. Fairmont hotel looks great at the shore. A must visit place when in Canadian Rockies.

The lake was beautiful. Surrounded by mountains , some still snow covered. It was very busy there. The smoke from the northern fires clouded the views a bit but otherwise a must see when in the mountains

Drove out to Lake Louise for a couple hours. Very, very busy. The views are incredible. Walked a short trail. Unfortunately was smokey due to the fires. The mountain and lake views were beautiful.

The view is beautiful, and the hotel on the lake looks amazing. However, it is crowded with people which really takes away from the 'nature' part of the experience. Still recommend stopping, but probably much better before breakfast or after supper!?

Nothing short of spectacular! Plan to spend some time in this area of Banff National Park. Great idea to bring a picnic as there is not much option besides the Fairmont once you get up to LL. The cafe at Fairmont had several options too which worked out for us. Parking can be a challenge, but if you are patient... More

I realize the lake is in a national park and you don't want to pave over everything, but trying to find a parking spot close by was a huge inconvenience. We ended up having to pay for parking at the Chateau Lake Louise as all the free spots were taken. The lake is beautiful but is extremely overcrowded with tourists.

Lake Louise is a must visit for anyone visiting Banff National Park. The view of the lake, with the mountains behind it, is simply stunning. We visited in July with friends, and some went on a walk around the lake, some went up for a hike, and my wife and I enjoyed 1-hr out on the lake in a canoe.... More
