Rent a canoe, sit and watch the water and mountains, sit and watch the people, or watch the ground squirrels pose for you, it is all up to you. This is a beautiful lake surrounded by the mountains. Fresh air to clear your mind. Great place to visit.

This lake is perfect for everybody, you can walk for 2 kilometers around it, and if you feel more adventurous you coud go til the tea house, a thing that you don´t regret. And if you want more you can go til the Victoria glaciar. Real Wild Nature.

Really amazing. We did hike up to lake Agnes, then to the six glaciers and then back. August is crowded in people, but the landscape is really unique. A Must.

We have visited lake Louise on almost an annual basis over the last 17 years. It really is the most beautiful place and so well geared up for tourism whilst retaining the natural splendour of the area.

This view is worth all the effort to get to the Canadian Rockies. It is a truly singular natural beauty, looking out over the emerald lake and up to the glacier literally hanging in the mountain behind the lake. You will photograph this scene again and again and again.

Lovely off season. Disneyesque in summer. So many tour buses. Wall to wall people. I have been before and will go back again, but not in August.

Lake Louise is a popular site to visit so can be very crowded but it seems the best time to visit is early or late - crowds are down and the lighting is amazing for pictures of the lake. If you are an early riser, come before sunrise and you will see a pink coloring on the glaciers. Or come... More

The hiking trails from Lake Louise are not to be missed. The lake is beautiful with a color we spent many miles on the trail debating. Would you call the water aqua, cerulean, or a milky-blue? The hike up to the Lake Agnes Tea House was moderate in difficulty with a fantastic payoff of soup, bread, apple cobbler and a... More
