We rented skates and skated on Lake Louise. The view is gorgeous. It gets really busy in the afternoon so I would go in the morning to avoid the crowd next time.

This is within the Banff National Park, and does require a park pass. HIGHLY recommend you buy the pass in advance online, and place it on your dash. It... More

There was a nice cover of snow when we visited. Its a beautiful lake with nice mountain views in the background. The snow and the chill made the experience even more memorable.

Visit in the winter and you will NOT be disappointed, as the lake and Rockies are truly stunning. No crowds to fight and you can explore to your hearts desire or find a lodge with a roaring fire. Skiing nearby, and the hiking is amazing!

Lake Louise is the most gorgeous sight my husband and I have ever seen. We traveled out west and into western Canada for 6 1/2 weeks, and we simply could not believe the natural beauty here. The lake itself is simply stunning, truly turquoise even standing right beside it. We had seen pictures of Lake Louise, and believe me the... More

I much preferred my winter visit over my summer visit. In summer we were pushing through the crowds and in the middle of an icy winter it was a quiet and peaceful winter wonderland, complete with an ice castle wall! I didn't spend much time here and could imagine that there would be some pretty epic hiking trails if you... More
