Sparkling blue water and just as pretty as all the postcards. Walk about an hour around the lake and your start to excape the crowds and enjoy nature. A walk up the the hut for an snack is also a must!

You can't really adequately put into words the beauty of this combination of lake and mountain. It is peaceful (apart from the other tourists!) and majestic. You don't want to miss the opportunity of seeing this, especially if you are lucky enough to go there on a clear day.

We both grew up visiting Lake Louise in the summer time which is amazing in its own right. However, this year we went during the winter and that was equally as good. We hiked along the side of the lake and skated on it. The view is stunning in every season!a must do if your passing through Banff National Park.

This really is a stunning place but be prepared for many other tourists to think the same and be there! Difficult to find a park but amazing views down the lake to the mountains. You can even canoe if you're up for that. Pop into the heritage hotel as well - its a great building

We visited in December after snowfall and the views were breathtaking. The snow was much deeper in lake louise than in Calgary where we stayed, and the lake was frozen (though not completely so people were not permitted to skate) it was a little hazy the day we visited but the views were still lovely. There was a horse drawn... More

Nothing to dislike, everything to like you HAVE to go to this place to see the views! Stand there and take in the beauty of this amazing lake, it was frozen over when I went, unable to walk on it, but stll does not take away the magnificence of it all.

Another gem of Canadian Rockies. It is one of the most popular tourist destination when in Banff and can be very crowded at time. However, the lake is huge and you will have plenty of room to stand on the platform to take photo. The Lake is surrounded by Mount Victoria and Victoria Glacier on one side, whereas the infamous... This was my first time skiing in Canada and I have to say it was the best time I have had on the slopes. Lake Louise is probably my favorite place with Norquay being second and Sunshine being the third (I am sure locals may disagree). The day I skiied the temperatures were a little colder than normal (wished I... More

This place is stunning, pictures do no do it justice. We grabbed a coffee from the hotel and took a leisurely stroll along the lake. There are many different hikes you can take some longer than others but as we were doing the rounds of the lakes we opted for the most common. Great photo spot if you can manoeuvre... More

Every trip to the Rockies should include a trip to the stunning Lake Louose. It is a popular destination with a good infrastructure. Lots of parking, toilets and places to eat. I recommend a paddle on the lake in a canoe and weather permitting a hike up to the tea house.
