Mayan Palace is a great resort course (Jack Nicklaus design), greens were in great shape and caddies were helpful. Mayan Village is a huge resort, You drive into a central staging area and then golf carts take you to the various venues. Allow sufficient time from arrival until you golf cart to the course. Driving range is not near the... More

The course is always busy as previously stated. That is just a fact since golf was oversold with the time shares, however the caddies are great, the course is always in great shape considering they put anywhere from 150-200 players through a day in the busy season. Lots of course changes year to year when they need to adapt to... More

Nice lay out with the old and the new holes providing lots of variety and not to much difficulty. very good pro shop hospitality and generally excellent caddies. The golf course manager is always very friendly and accommodating. the course will be over played in the winter months as the new course across the river is not yet ready for... More

Not a bad course. Traversing it was interrupted by hotel construction. Fairly open track and it is always busy due to the free rounds they offer people for attending timeshare presentations. Be prepared to play with hackers.

This course if great to play. The track is very fun to play and has some very hard holes..The caddy that you get can make the round fun. I will pay this course again.

Course is always under construction it's not all Jack Nicklause design, hole # 1 & the back nine. Bunkers are inconsistent wet, no sand etc. Tee times are hard to get unless your a Platinum member . Wouldn't pay the $150.00+ USD (non time share owner) if you can get a tee time or the $85.00 Grand Mayana owner fee.

Played the course and it is quite easy. The problem is reservations. They will not take tee times by phone. You have to email and they hopefully respond within 4 days (took 5 days for me). Ask for a few days at 9 AM and was randomly assigned times at 1PM and later. No horribly inefficient for the customer....good luck... More

Playing golf at this resort is not worth the experience. The construction of new buildings has interrupted the golf course as they move holes and the course to accommodate them.

This is a delightful golf course next to Grand Mayan, Grand Bliss and Grand Luxxe. If you are an owner, you pay for a much reduced price. Forecaddies are mandatory and very helpful. My caddie, Jesus, was great at reading putts and encouraging me to hit the tee shot "centro" - down the middle. The course is shorter than some,... More
