Okay if you are into churches. A regular cathedral. Nothing special. Nice location in old town Durango.

It is maybe one of the most well maintained cathedrals I've seen in Mexico. It has a really nice architecture and since the city is really small it is easy to arrive. As almost everything at Durango it has a legend of its own. It's said that there was once a nun waiting for her lost love... Now you can... More

It was a nice experience, there is a coffee place place call cucurumbe a couple of blocks away. We ended up grabbing a cup of coffee and taking a walk to the cathedral, looking for the "monja", a town legend which is said to appears on one of the towers.

Durango isn't yet a tourist destination. But it should be. Great shopping, history, great food, mezcal. It's doable as a day trip from Mazatlan with the new road. But staying over night would be better. Don't miss the church on the hill accessed via a gondola. The cathedral and surrounding square is also worth visiting, as are the tunnels, and... More

Must see in Durango. Try to go inside and look around. The main façade is baroque-style and nicely maintained. One of the most important cathedrals in Mexico.

Did not go into the Cathedral. Took pictures from the outside. Pictures are of Abstract nature. The streets going to it is right in the hub of busy traffic. Lots of big buses and noise.

We were fortunate to be invited and attend a wedding in the cathedral. The cathedral is very old and has been well preserved. It was great to see the many individuals that were visiting. One note, the seating is fairly limited. There are two rows of benches with a center isle. If you're planning to attend a large service or... More

This is an old cathedral in the heart of downtown Durango. The inside is awe inspiring and apparently there are tunnels that run below, but not open to the public. One of the better things to see in Durango.

Very nice cathedral. Must see but a little worn looking inside. Not well kept for a great structure. Poorly maintained.
