We enjoyed walking this street that is blocked off for traffic. One part has hotels and restaurants and another part has an area dedicated to the movie industry in Durango. There are statues of movie stars, stars on the walkway with stars' names on them. We walked along this street 3 or 4 times. It is just so pleasant.

Perfect walking street. I stayed at a hotel on the same street. What I noticed right away was how clean everything was. No trash, gum on the sidewalk, etc. If you have traveled Mexico at all you realize most cities here don't understand that concept. This street should have had nicer restaurants and shops.

Just like just about every large city, there is a main strip of stores to cater to the tourists visiting the area. This is that main drag. These kinds of stores can be found almost anywhere outside of Mexico and really isnt interesting at all. However, this street does connect to a lot of interesting museums, the cathedral, plazas, and... More

My wife and I enjoyed walking along this pedestrian street. There are all sorts of store, restaurants, benches, and people. This is an area that people gather in in the late afternoon and evenings. I have seen assorted type of entertainment there in the evenings but mostly on the weekends. There is a beautiful church to visit there as well.... More

I sooo loved walking down this street. So many shops, restaurants. Restaurants, shops, bars. Churros Dolores is a great shop that I recommend. You can get hot chocalate, to go along with a delicious freshly Churro. So many historic buildings. Plenty of places to sit during the summer time. Once you walk down the whole street, which doesnt take a... More

We were happy to stumble upon this street. It's a great place to hang out, people watch, and enjoy weekend entertainment. We were surprised at the limited dining options, but maybe more will come soon.

We really enjoyed this area of Durango. There are lots of historic buildings, shops and restaurants in this area. It is very nice just to walk around and see everything. We also noticed that it is a very peaceful place. We would really love to go back and spend more time here.

Our little hotel was on the Calle Constitucion and the night we were there was the celebration of the King so entertainment started about 5:00 and ended late. Families strolling from one end of the pedestrian street to the other. We sat for hours listening to classically trained singers engaging the crowd with Mexican music and one ended his program... There is a section of this street starting from Plaza des Armas that runs for about 7 blocks that does not have any vehicular traffic except for the cross streets. We were there on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. During the day there are loads of restaurants, shops and coffee/beverage houses and at night it lights up with all kinds of... More

This pedestrian street is where all the action is, especially when it gets dark. Most of all the restaurants, bars, and stores are located here. We walked around to the other side streets only to find a few places of interest or just being deserted.
