after enjoying a lovely day here with our grandchildren last August they asked to return this year. What a difference this year. It seemed as though it was ' running out of steam'. There was only one man who was having to run anything to do with the trains by himself. He did apologise when we boarded the diesel and... More

Went with friends visiting from Staffordshire. Five senior adults, £35 entrance fee. Had a ride of about 1 mile on an old steam train, spent 10 mins watching 2 guys playing with a miniature railway set-up, half of which wasn't working, did the same mile long train ride on a smaller model railway, and saw some old rusty carriages. Not... More

If you like old train engines and a ride on a steam train and miniature railway then visit this place the kids will love it and so would the adults. I really loved it and so did my family. We had lunch there and it was good value for money and the service was good.

A very nice afternoon taking a child with special needs who I care for, to the railway. Very cheap entry ticket price, enjoyable train rides and lots to look at and read about. An enjoyable day and will definitely be visiting again soon.

When booking Sunday lunch by phone I was offered the choice of two levels of luxury - the Pullman or the Royal coach at a small extra cost. Sally took my call and was very friendly and explained everything in great detail. We choose the Royal which turned out to be a lovely old opulent carriage with big individual armchairs... More

Booked Sunday Lunch on the Pullman at Colne Valley Railway on the 19th July for 4 adults. Both carriages available for eating were really well presented. The carriage we were eating in - Pullman Hermione - was actually used in the film Woman in Black. We were disappointed that it was the diesel traction pulling the carriages rather than the... More

Me and my partner visited on a planned day out. We were throughly disappointed with the attraction. The train ride consisted of a 25 minute journey. Of which 20 minutes were spent, waiting for the engine to move around to the other side of the train. We only stayed for an hour as once we looked around the other things... More

We went with our teenage grandson who is a steam train enthusiast and there was plenty to interest him as well as us. Rides were on the diesel train but we were able to see the steam train in operation on a Driver Experience day. Unfortunately the miniature railway wasn't operating due to track problems. Beware, Google website gives incorrect... More
