We booked this via our hotel and thought it was a fantastic day out. The day we went it was choppy too but when you're at sea you have to expect it. The staff were lovely and we had a choice of food, we chose the obster tail and it was very nice indeed. The drinks kept flowing which some... More

We took a one day sail / snorkel / lunch tour with Catamaya, booked through our hotel. It was $96 USD including transfers, food and booze. The boat is well maintained and clean, the staff are awesome (and some of them are dreamy :) ), and the lunch was clean and tasty. Lobster! The snorkeling takes place in the National... More

Sailing on a catamaran is NOT for everyone! Our travel agent rep talked us into this day trip and we spent hours watching half the boat vomit into clear bags due to sea sickness. Definitely take this into consideration before you sign up!! More

This was our second year in a row sailing with Catamaya and we couldn't of been more impressed. Everything from the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the catamaran, to the amazing sites and delicious food. We absolutely love the Catamaya. We were lucky enough to have a few of the same staff members on board and they were... More

We had a few hiccups booking this trip as we did with a seller by the marina who wast part of the staff from catamaya which we didt know ! So make sure you book direct with them or from your rep ! The staff sorted all the problems out and went out of the way to make sure we... More

Save your money. The only amazing thing I saw was a sea turtle and I found him on my own away from the group ... The guides were oblivious. The reef ( what there was of it ) was being destroyed by the other clueless individuals who don't respect it. I saw many more fish and sea creatures simply snorkeling... More

Despite being a bit sea sick, I had a great time on this boat. Once I decided to believe the crew, that if I were to sit on the top deck where the Captain was I would feel better, my experience was greatly improved! The reef we visited was pretty disappointing, but I was not surprised by that based upon... More

We went on the Catamaya catamaran excursion on 8-Jan-2012, booked through our hotel (Gran Bahia Principe Akumal), paying approx $100/person. The Good: - The catamaran itself is nice; well-kept, clean, has an on-board BBQ, fishing rods, etc, and decent grip when walking around. - Staff if great - Lunch was under-seasoned but still okay - Music is decent; they have...
