It's probably good it's hard to find. No clear entrances. We only found a tiny sign. Walked down a long road only to get 'toll both' charged for 30pesos by a bunch of men laying around with a rope running across the road that they would pull to prevent people entering... I think we found the wrong entrance. Beach was... More

I used to like and work in Playa Del Carmen some 20 years ago, I am currently in Playa at this moment (Jan 17th, 2015) and am completely shocked by the utter commercialization and party vibe of what was once a laid back beach town. All this to say is, I wanted out of Playa and to find the special... More

The snorkeling was not as good as my hotel but very good. It was a bit chilly in the water. Much of the good stuff was extra....

There are two entrances to Xpu-ha beach. Use the first one. You'll pay 50 pesos person but you can go to any beach club and I highly recommend Living the Dream!!! The staff are wonderful. Food is amazing. The beach is to-die-for. When you think of a tropical oasis on the beach, this is it!! We rented a glass bottom... More

First let me start with the rip off fee to get into the place ! If you do go in, bring your own chair and umbrella cause they charge a ridiculous amount for crappy chairs and a tiny palapa. The beach itself is very lovely but if you are around the bushes DO NOT leave any valuables alone cause thieves... More

This is one of the best beaches in the Maya Riviera. The sand is like fine white sugar. The water is every shade of blue. It is one of my most favorite spots on the planet.

Not sure what else I can add to the above. The nice thing about this beach is that there are only a couple small hotels and private homes. My husband and I hope this beach will be protected from developers forever. We even saw where sea turtles come and lay their eggs and this beach has the best snorkeling we... More

You pay a $4 entrance fee to go in but if you eat at the restaurant there keep your receipt and your entrance fee is refunded as you leave. The beach is quiet and beautiful. This is where the Corona Commercials are filmed. It is secluded and very few people on it. Well worth going to.

Really great beach -- park at one of the restaurants and enjoy the water, snorkeling, and people watching. Lots to do including kayaking, wind surfing, and jet skiing.
