Have my own thoughts but our daughter really wanted to do this.

I know there is controversy about dolphins in captivity. I agree. Our daughter really wanted to do this and it was our last year contract at our resort there. Our daughter in law... read more

We bought a package online through Expedia for a 30 minute encounter with the dolphins. We needed to call at least two days in advance to secure our reservation. I did that at least a week in advance while we are still in the US using a 1-800 number. They told us to show up 20 minutes before our scheduled... More

I know there is controversy about dolphins in captivity. I agree. Our daughter really wanted to do this and it was our last year contract at our resort there. Our daughter in law also took our granddaughter. Yes they make a killing on gauging you on the pictures they take (you are not allowed to take any). First I read... More

I did the 45-minute tour and swam with the dolphins. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Highly recommend it.

The trainers were very helpful and they made the experience a great one!!! My husband does not know how to swim, but the trainers made it so easy for him to participate in all of the activities. It is kid friendly and the dolphins are extremely friendly. The event is about 2 hours, it ends with a show the dolphins... More

Great experience for our 8 and 11 year old, as well as my 68 year old mother. We did the 45 minute adventure. The staff were amazing and made sure we were all comfortable with the Dolphins through the entire process. The Dolphins were friendly and very easy. We also had a spectator and they were very accommodating to him... More

We have done the swimming with the dolphins experience twice now. The dolphin trainers seem to really care about their animals but the management of the place is lacking. I made a reservation twice online and confirmed it through my hotel concierge, but somehow they didn't have my reservations. Also, you can't take pictures so be prepared to pay eight... More

It was clean and entertaining. They had parrots too. The water was warm and the staff was really helpful and nice. It's a good activity while in Ixtapa.

This was a wonderful experience with our Grandchildren. Unfortunately upon returning home, We became more educated on the environmental impact of this activity...that being said we are now torn about the activity. We were the only family at the facility which seemed clean and well maintained! Unfortunately it is a money trap! You are not allowed to take your own... More

Lots of people talk about how it is expensive and also that it is not right for the dolphins. Is it expensive, yes. Was it worth it, also yes. As for dolphins in captivity, all I can say is that they were born in captivity and after the experience my 10 year old daughter said it was now important to... More
