Beach was nice, meal served was surprisingly good, tasty. Drinks were expensive 70 each, and you could not taste any alcohol at all. They guilt you into leaving a bigger tip saying they only get paid with tips nothing else. But still a good experience.

Las Gatas is a nice peaceful place to spend the day. The water is calm, and there are not too many beach vendors. Parked ourselves at Otilia's, and were entertained by the host, Franco. The food isn't great, but Franco is very entertaining.

Las Gatas was promoted for it's snorkeling and access to the lighthouse. But once there we learned that the access trail to the lighthouse has been blocked by the private developer behind the beach area. And snorkeling was too stressful with too many boats in the area. The water was not very clear and fish variety limited. The beach was... More

The beach at Las Gatas is beautiful and easy to get to. Unfortunately, the water is very shallow. There is a reef about 100 yards from shore. About 20 feet from shore the sand ends and large rocks are everywhere. The first 20 feet is sand with all manner of little stones and pieces of coral. If you are like... More

Take the bus to Zihua and then the sea taxi to the beach. Forty pesos for two both ways. Do not take the tours from the hotel not needed. The beach is nice and calm Some snorkeling. We had a very nice day it gets very hot. Food below average for what you pay for but then they give you... More

You have to take the ferry over but once there your chaise lounge chairs await while a waiter from the restaurant behind you brings you drinks and dinner. A fun day

It sounded better than it was. It was described as a "reef". It was more like a rock break. The snorkelling was ok, nothing note worthy tho. We took the bus there & brought our own lunch from our hotel so the price was right to go there at least. 10 pesos for bus, 20 pesos for water taxi (per... More
