This is an old Robert Trent Jones course with naturally slow greens, but, great layout and fairways. One slightly on the Pacific's crashing waves, all within a few 4 irons form the ocean. Bring your clubs, cause clubs rented are old. Still, super friendly and beautiful course to play.

Better golf course than the Palma Real course. Greens were awesome but some fairways need lots of work. Very challenging (12 handi cap). Bunkers need some more sand. Over all, cheaper than the other course, nobody out there, bring a caddie if you plan on playing yourself.

Most people play at the Palma Real course and now I know why. We played here once in Jan/15 just to check it out for ourselves. This course has a great layout and so much potential. I'm sure it was beautiful and a great play back in the day. It appears the course has been majorly flooded at some point.... More

There are two golf courses in Ixtapa. I choose to play Marina because the pace of play is under four hours for 18 holes. There are some rough patches but some challenging holes as well. Always have a good time

I am being kind. The layout isn't bad but what a dump!. I will struggle not to use the word dump too often. Crappy clubhouse. Indifferent staff. Old carts with no brakes so you have to plan how to stop. Bridges, of which there are many, that you fear to cross as the skinny planks are broken and could give... More

By most standards this track is needs work. Rates are high and the course needs maintainence. Get the twilight rate for a better deal. The carts are old and don't get a caddie. Of the two courses that are available, this one is has very little shade. Bring a hat.

After 2pm is a discounted price.Went before the tourist season, so the course needed a little work.Watch for the crocs on the water hazards.

I have been going to Ixtapa for almost 40 years. Appox 15 years ago, I golfed the other golf course - found the staff rude and most discourteous (query a single female golfer)- reluctant to let a single out even when the course was deserted. The scenery was great. Four years ago, I tried again at the Marina course and... More

Have played the marina course many times over the years, and haven`t been there for 3 yrs now. Sad to read the recent reviews. Going again for a month this nov15th, and will probably take my clubs to give it a try. I emailed the course manager and even the minister of tourism 3 yrs ago on our last visit.... More

I'm an avid golfer with a single-digit handicap and have played all over the world. Based on several favorable reviews here, I was looking forward to playing Marina Ixtapa. What a joke! It's hard to find, with no decent signs. The parking lot is small. The pro shop - when we finally found it - was closed, and we had... More
