I arrived few days ago to Ixtapa for a holiday with my family. My wife, son and myself are keen golfers and decided to buy a package of 10 games for about USD 500, i.e. USD 50 per game. The course is very attractive, in excellent conditions and great views. Caddies and management are all very nice and helpful. It... More

Pros: golf Cons: Like most places in ixtapa, this golf course was a gem in its day. However, times have changed. Fairway is at most, ok. Several weeds, unmanicured divots, and abandoned commercial eye sores. Watch out, staff still lives in the "good ole days" and tipping expectations are at an all time high!

Golfed here this morning and to be clear the name of this course is "Campo de Golf Palma Real Ixtapa" I played at the other course near the Marina earlier this week and it was horrible. Palma Real was almost twice as much but 5 times better value and a much better course. My caddy was great, he's been there... More

Played here several rounds this month. Is very possible course was in bad shape last year but now it it is in perfect condition. Both fairwais and greens. Friendly staff. Prices are like Europe or bit less than US but if you consider the quality and the fact that this course is almost empty, it is good value for money.... More

I have been playing this course for 11 years. Total of over 150 rounds. Major improvements this year. The new irrigation installed last year is working well. New sand in all the bunkers is great, and the disposal of some of the old sand on 15 has made a great Crocodile viewing site. The washrooms were clean, well stocked, and... More

Played 4 days in a row. Would have played 5 days but this place is real weird. I think this is my 10th different course in Mexico and it was not the greatest. Positives: Caddies were awesome. 5 out of 5. They made my days. Tino day one way great. Ahmado the next 3 days was a character. Both were... More

The new irrigation system is in and the traps have new sand. The course is in great shape and is being well maintained. The rate for quantity 50 rounds is 870 pesos which includes a cart so get some friends together and enjoy this interesting course. The snack bar is so-so. You should tell them exactly how you want your... More

I arrived in Ixtapa/Zihuatenjo, Mexico on the 7th of February, and played this course, on the following 10th and the 12th of February. The greens fees include a cart, and you can reserve a caddie, which helps (for 100 MX Peso's per person) if you have never played here before. In the past year, all the traps around the fairways... The course is beautifully designed. Wonderful holes, beautiful birds, lots to keep you enchanted. There are some buts... Too often, there is slow play tolerated by the course. Lots of people who should be playing from forward tees not doing so. The course condition varies dramatically from year to year. This year the course is in good shape, with the... More
