Recently a friend and I took a cooking class at Meson Sacristia. It was wonderful. Lizbet was very knowledgeable and good humored. She showed us techiniques for cooking and tips for ensuring that the recipes would be successful. Everything we made was absolutely delicious. We made traditional sauces and dishes of the region. At the end of the cooking, we... More

Attending the cooking school run by Lizbet at the Meson Sacristia was a step into Mexican cuisine and culture. Not only the recipes but the techniques taught are things you can take home and dazzle your friends with. In one word the class was fun. The food we prepared was "deliciosa". If you like to cook, treat yourself and take... More

Great fun. We did three days of classes at Sacristia. Each day was three hours of preparation, conversation, cooking and eating. Liz is very knowledgeable and gives very good procedural instruction before cutting you loose in the kitchen. A trip to the market gave us insight to local cuisine. We also were given additional options for entertainment and viewing to... More

Our class was a terrific introduction to authentic recipes and techniques. I'm a serious home cook, and I've cooked from many "authentic" recipes, including mole poblano; however, the two days of classes we took put everything in context, I picked up new techniques as well. We were so inspired that we went out in search of a comal to bring... More

I attended one class, but had initially signed up for three. Prior to signing up i asked what I would be making. I was advised the chef would decide on the day of the class. The pros: the kitchen is great, you get to practice/or learn Spanish while cooking as the chef will instruct you in Spanish and his assistant... More

I stayed at different hotel but I heard great comments about this cooking class, so I decided to take one day cooking class to learn about the Mexican cuisine. The class lasts about 4 hrs and it's totally worth every penny. I just wished that I took more classes. The chef was courteous and professional and Lisbet, the assistant, is... More

I don't like spicy food but still enjoyed it. Bring you own bell peppers from the market to substitute for their peppers. They could use a warmer to keep entrees warm til dessert and drink items are made.

The chef and his assistent, Alonso and Lizbet, explained us everything about Mexican cooking. This was a wonderfull experience and added alot of value to our Mexican holiday. As we took several cooking classes we truly recommend this cooking class. They really take time to explain about the food and ingredients. Alonso is a great man with patience and Lizbet... More

We took a 5 day cooking course here and enjoyed every minute. Two women from Austrailia were our classmates and added a lot of fun to the experience. Lizbet, the interpreter couldn't do enough for us, and Antonio was always pleasant and happy to share his expertise. A hands on experience for participants. Staying at the colourful hotel where the... More

Three of us: my sister, my daughter and I participated in the one-morning cooking school and found it such an enjoyable experience that we highly recommend it. Alonso was a pleasant and patient chef. All ingredients and techniques were clearly explained and we received much hands-on experience. Plus the food we made was truly delicious! This was a great learning... More
