just wish that the city council would ban traffic around the zocalo as this would so enhance the strolling experience. As it is - its all a bit polluted as car fumes seem to sit in the square. This is a great pity as its a really happening square - great for people watching and vibe. Having said that the... More

The Zocalo is the central hub for activities in Puebla. One spots singles, couples and entire families especially on weekends. One striking fact is that in spite of all the people, the entire Zocalo is being constantly cleaned and swept by City employees! Even the smallest piece of paper disappears in short order. A great example of the vibrancy of... More

Go there to have a feel of what the core center of Puebla looks like. It is very busy, rather touristic and not as beautiful or typical as other areas of Puebla can be. Other areas in town are more authentic to my taste (Parke San Francisco). Many tour buses start from there and it is a convenient way (and... More

The Zocalo is pretty, surrounded by nice colonial buildings, museums, little restaurants and shops. It has a very Mexican feeling. It’s kept very well maintained and clean. It’s nice to go there by an ice cream and just seat relax and watch people pass by, I went in July and the weather was warm and perfect, although it can get... More

Downtown, bars, restaurants all around this beautiful plaza. And is also a good point to meet when you get lost in the city.

The Zocalo in Puebla is a very harmonious square in typical Spanish colonial style. The central area, laid out as a park, nice in itself, is surrounded on 3 sides by low, 2-3 storey, period buildings with arcaded terraces as well as street-side tables. The fourth side is filled by a side-view of the impressive cathedral. We spent a very... More

The view and the shadow from its trees. This main square is the heart of the city. You can take some tours from here. And visit to the cathedral
