A beautiful cathedral right on the Puebla zocolo. Amazing paintings on the interior walls and richly decorated.

The cathedral is stunning already from the outside and absolutely amazing on the inside. One night the city had a light show projected on the facade, which was beautiful and a great experience. I am not sure whether this is a weekly / daily thing.

This cathedral boasts two of the largest cathedral towers in all of the Americas. They truly are impressive. The inside of the church is quite interesting as well, though you are not allowed to take pictures inside. There is even a really mean lady that scolds you if she catches you taking pictures. Don't mess with her! Down the street... More

Went briefly for mass--very crowded. Expected that. But nothing stands out from other cathedrals around the country.

If you are in Puebla and have a half day to spare I highly recommend going to the Catedral de Puebla. The cathedral itself is beautiful and you can't help but be amazed that it was built over 500 years ago. There are always festivals, shows or something going on in the square. First came the breath taking views of two volcanoes - Iztaccihuatl (dead) and Popocatepetl (Smoking mountain still live). There were lovely views of the harvested corn... More

large and spacious its probably not as ostentatious as europe's cathedrals but is very calm and soothing. located near the square, it still manages to be quiet and holy. nice to visit before going off to the markets or sightseeing.
