The cathedral is in the city center so getting there is a little annoying because of traffic. However, once you get there you forget all about it! The outside architecture and stone masonry is incredible and the inside is to die for. Simply have to visit!

This was my favorite Cathedral/Church to visit in Puebla! The location, the building its self, the inside was amazing and huge! Loved my visit here, I'll be sure to return!

Interesting to see the blond and blue eyed angels in the Mexican environment - what kind of message would that have sent to the common public throughout the centuries?

I have visited the church several times and never get tired of it. It's a beautiful church inside which took 300 years to build. Very peaceful inside you just drown in its beauty and decoration. Surreal. Must see when in Puebla. And the zocalo is just in front with nice cafés.

I arrive there in the moment that a couple is marry. They prepare a classic rural event. Chariot horses, children holding the tail of the girlfriend and roses way. The general public can access the church in the wedding, so I went in. Monumental interior. Wood decorations. You can smell old. Inside you can forget the present and go in... More

This is a magnificent Cathedarl started just 40 years after Cortes led the conquest of Mexico in 1519. There are many side chapels, alters, three grand organs and statues and painting everywhere. It i very impressive.

I guess I'm very much ignorant in architecture and for me the cathedral in Puebla could be any other big church built in colonial times in any place in Latin America, but still all these buildings are quite amazing and if you are in Puebla, it's definitively worth to visit the cathedral

Use of natural light is extraordinary for a cathedral of this age. One thing I found odd was that the candles lit by each altar are electric, not real flames.

I live in Mexico City and you get to see the biggest cathedral of the country and it's impressive, but once you know this one you are amazed as well. It's really beautiful and if you get to hear the legend of the main bell and how it got there, you will just love it more. Try the restaurants in... More
