If you visit the city of Puebla, you cannot miss going to the Cathedral. If you can get a good guide, it is worth understanding the symbolism of this amazing structure. Puebla known as the City of Angels has many angels in its cathedral. It is beautiful display of Christian beliefs with more uplifting images and paintings than other churches... More

The Cathedral itself is an architectural gem. We attended a Palm Sunday service officiated by the bishop. There was standing room only. We went early to get a good seat. He pageantry was something very special.

From the minute you walk in to the Cathedral you can see that you are in a special place. I was lucky enough to go during a special celebration and hear the organ play... it was great.

It is a great cathedral, very well preserved, i absolutely love the details on the wood doors. You can walk around and take pictures, without any problem. Love the details on the ceilings. A must in Puebla.

The Cathedral de Puebla is a must see during your trip to Puebla. It is centrally located and a part of the Zocalo, so easy to access. The cathedral is second in size to the Cathedral Metropolitan in Mexico City. And it's twin towers are the tallest in Mexico! The interior of this cathedral is so stunningly ornate, shiny, and... This cathedral is still in use today. When services are not going on you can take non-flask photos of the art work that is everywhere, walls, ceiling, etc. The gold leaf is almost blinding so be prepared.

Beautiful cathedral which was completed in the 17th Century. Tourists are welcome when there are not religious services going on, and photography is permitted without flash. There are gorgeous chapels all around the outer edge, and the pipe organ is impressive.

... as expected. Full of gold. It's a nice church but it depends on how much of a church goer you are.

The Cathedral of Puebla is an amazing structure especially the interior which is a mixture of baroque and neo-classic architecture. Be sure to see this when you visit Puebla. You won't be disppoainted.
