This was so great! Arriving in the little hilltop town of Toffia is like stepping back in time. If you want someplace off the main tourist track, here you go. It's breathtakingly picturesque and you'll probably be the only tourists in town. Now, throw in the wonderful hosts Guido and Sally, a hands-on cooking class, a wonderful meal, and a... More

This was not just a cooking holiday - these were 3 days spent in Paradise! Thank you Sally and Guido for the lovely time I had in Toffia. You looked after me long before I arrived by giving me such helpful directions for the easy train journey from Rome to Fara Sabina. My accommodation was lovely with the little garden... More

If you are thinking about having a unique experience, do not hesitate to enroll in one of the Convivio Rome Cooking Holidays. I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with Guido and Sally and my 5 lady friends and would echo the comments of my travel companions. Sally and Guido were friendly, organized, informative and much fun. They provided hands-on opportunities... More

I had an incredible time at the Convivio 5 day cooking class. I went with a group of 5 girl friends and it far exceeded our expectations. We fell in love with the medieval town of Toffia and our accommodations. The cooking classes were so much fun and each member of the group takes an active role in the preparation.... More

I just returned from a trip to Italy with a group of 6 women friends and spent 5 nights/6 days in Toffia with Guido and Sally. Another friend asked me how it compared to many other trips in the last 20 or more years and my reply was "one of the best ever". It was an easy train ride from... More

I just returned from the 5-day cooking holiday with 5 other friends. I think "holiday" really describes the experience...lots to learn with wonderful guides (Sally, Guido and their contacts), a relaxing setting in a medieval village, and a schedule that left plenty of time for exploring the area. I have taken several other cooking tours in Europe, and this one... More

We booked this day trip to get out of Rome for a day and to give the kids a break from museums and ruins. Booking the class was easy, and Sally is quick to respond to all e-mails. She was there to meet us at the train, and pointed out the sights along the way to their home. Their village... More

It was a pleasure meeting you and your family and being able to offer you all a truly italian experience. Your young daughters certainly demonstrated their love for cooking, a passion they certainly got from you, and we really loved the way you all 'rolled up your sleeves' and enjoyed learning something new. Authentic italian recipes are simple and the... More

I took a brief holiday abroad last week. Three days in Rome. I'd been to Rome before and I had another trip on the agenda that included Rome, so I thought that I'd do something different and something I'd always thought of doing. Cooking school. And it was the highlight of my trip. First of all, great communication on the... More

Thank you for the praise. Wonderful! Not really knowing what to expect, we booked ourselves on this cooking class adventure. We took the train out from Rome, and were met at the train station by our warm and gracious hostess, Sally. After a tour of the lovely village of Toffia, we arrived at the house, greeted by Guido, our charming chef and instructor. Then the fun... More

I love your description of your cooking day experience with Guido and I at Convivio Rome. It is perfect! The meeting and greeting, the 'doning the aprons' ,'diving in' and when you 'ate and ate and ate' plus the tours of 2 medieval villages. It really was a joy meeting you both and sharing stories and a few laughs...and we... More

The sun was shining on the Sabina and its ancient olive groves when Sally drove us from the station to medieval Toffia. Her introduction to the area and to Toffia was perfect. After a stroll through this amazing hilltop medieval village and a visit to a herb garden, Guido was ready to greet us in the kitchen. Aprons on! But... More

Wonderful! Your feedback and review capture what we try to create within all our cooking classes, cooking holidays, Rome wine tours and Rome olive oil tours. Thank you placing it into words and confirming that what we offer is much much more than just a few recipes...it really is a whole experience. The setting of the Sabina, or the Sabine... More
