My 13 year old niece and I spent 10 days in Italy and had a great time. The highlight, hands down, was our cooking day. It was wonderful to get away from the brutal heat in Rome and into a picturesque medieval town with warm and welcoming hosts. The small group gelled very quickly. We made pasta from scratch (no... I highly, HIGHLY, recommend this tour! It is worth the short train ride from Rome. Sally picked us up at the train station and drove us to their home through fields of olive trees and beautiful views of the town. We stopped at their garden to pick up herbs for our recipe. When we arrived to their home, Guido welcomed... More

Convivio Cooking tour one day class was magnificent. The instructions to get there are easy to follow and the hilltop villages are beautiful and a great respite from the crowds of Rome. Sally, Guido and their daughter are wonderful hosts. You cook, you learn about the culture, you enjoy delicious food, do a little tour of the hilltop villages. Everything... More

Thank you for your lovely comments about the one day cooking class you had with us. I am so pleased you could join us at the last minute and as you were a single traveller, that you blended into the group immediately. I hope you enjoyed the rest of the time in Rome, and your continued travels to Sicily. More

If you have some time when in Rome I would certainly recommend this cooking experience. After a 40 minute train trip Sally picks you up at the station and takes you to the beautiful cliff top town of Toffia where she takes you on a walking tour of the town. Guido then runs the cooking class which is a lot... More

It was great fun having you both on a One Day cooking-touring Experience and as you said during the day, everything in Rome, Italy and in Toffia, is so much older than the relatively recent european history of Australia. This is one of the wonders of coming to visit a medieval hilltop village for a cooking class, even the setting... More

This was so great! Arriving in the little hilltop town of Toffia is like stepping back in time. If you want someplace off the main tourist track, here you go. It's breathtakingly picturesque and you'll probably be the only tourists in town. Now, throw in the wonderful hosts Guido and Sally, a hands-on cooking class, a wonderful meal, and a... More

This was not just a cooking holiday - these were 3 days spent in Paradise! Thank you Sally and Guido for the lovely time I had in Toffia. You looked after me long before I arrived by giving me such helpful directions for the easy train journey from Rome to Fara Sabina. My accommodation was lovely with the little garden... More

It was great to see a group of female friends come all the way from Minnesota, USA to enjoy a cooking holiday together. You spread your time between the medieval setting of Toffia and a few days in Rome added on, at the end of your holiday. It was a great way to experience an authentic experience in the tranquility... I had an incredible time at the Convivio 5 day cooking class. I went with a group of 5 girl friends and it far exceeded our expectations.
