We were driving by so stopped by but the farmshop was tiny and not much to rave about. Produce was limited and expensive and kind of played up to its idylic location to warrant the prices. I would personally make a trip to darts farm if you want a proper farm shop. Didnt experience the tearoom but prices were also... More

Fascinating working mill which grinds its own flour for the bread to buy in the shop or eat in the restaurant. One slice of bread with butter fed two of us! There's an interesting gallery and some lively walks to be enjoyed too!

Loved the place, only problem was the price tickets on virtually everything they sell was so high, surprised they can make a living here, but then there are a lot of middle incomers with more money than sense. I wish the place well, but I wont be buying!

Many thanks for this feedback on your recent visit to Otterton Mill. Most of the food, drink and crafts available here are produced on site in small quantities, or sourced from other small south west producers. Without the economies of scale achieved by large producers, there is therefore a premium for much of this produce. Our goal is to ensure... More

We stumbled across the Otterton mill completely by chance & were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, coffee and service. The old working mill is stunning & some nice local bits & pieces in the shop. My only regret is that we didn't pick up some take home goodies from the bakery - a great find!

A lovely location and interesting, but very slow service and rather expensive. It is an great stopping point for a walk along the river otter.

A working mill with craft shop and cafe on the banks of the river otter. A lively and interesting spot for a visit and a good base to walk the river bank.

Having now visited Otterton Mill twice in two months I am dumbfounded by the cafe's lack of customer service. Both times there was a queue that stretched to the door. Both times there were three staff behind the counter but only ONE person serving. Each customer's order took ages to process. No customer was acknowledged before they were served -... More

Visited Otterton Mill recently. A very cool place, to see something so old & with so much history, working like it did hundreds of years ago! A tip, the Mill only does working demo's on Thursdays so I would check before you visit. Very cool..

Interesting mix of a traditional working mill with a decent cafe and some traditional craft products on sale. Excellent place to recover after the walk to and from Budleigh Salterton. Lunch prices are ver y competitive compared to local pub and choices are as good.
