My boyfriend and I had a fantastic day white water rafting. The young guy who picked us up in San Jose was very friendly, lovely and helpful. The breakfast (eggs, rice, granola, fruit, juice) sets u up for a day on the water and the lunch is just as great. The rafting itself was so fun! I was quite nervous... More

The rafting trip is great- my wife and I have done it twice in as many years. The guides are great and the river is absolutely beautiful. We tend to use this trip as a way to get around Costa Rica as they will pick you up in one area and drop you off in another- it sure beats the... More

We opted for the adventure transport option that shuttled us between La Fortuna & Puerto Viejo with the rafting trip on the way. A great price that included lunch & breakfast. The guides were awesome...informative and funny. Safety is excellent. The rafting was super fun and the scenery is absolutely stunning. We saw some birds, a 'blue jeans' frog and... More

I assume this company does other rivers as well, but we did the one day Rio Pacuare run with them. We have rafted before in the US on a class 3-4 river but this was much more challenging simply because of the duration (32 km) and the number and frequency of rapids. While none of the rapids are huge during... More

This was a great first experience rafting and it couldn't be better! Roberto was our guide and was so great! He keeps you laughing but will also be safe. The breakfast and lunch are both great! They are very professional and know what they are doing. You get bused to their facility, eat, lock up your bags, and then are... More

If you love rafting you will have a fantastic time doing this class III and IV Rapids. The guides are great and make the whole experience exhilarating. I was a little aprehensive about doing this, but I was really glad we did it. Something everyone visiting Costa Rica should do. The water is warm and the scenery breathtaking, as is... More

We went on two great trips with Exploradores Outdoors. The first was rafting on the Pacuare River en route from San Jose to Puerto Viejo. We were a bit unsure of rafting on the morning after we arrived in Costa Rica, but all went smoothly. Trepidatious about leaving our luggage behind, we went with the flow and left everything in... My husband and I absolutely loved this experience. Such a fun way to get from point A to point B! We were picked up in the morning in La Fortuna and brought by shuttle to Exploradores' headquarters in Siquirres. There we had breakfast (so-so, but unlimited coffee!) and were then bussed to the put-in on the Pacuare. The guides gave... More

My friend and I went river rafting with this company. Our guide spoke a few languages so nobody had a hard time understanding the tour that was given along our way to the river or down it. We were provided with excellent instruction. The staff was fun, experienced and made us feel that they truly enjoyed helping us to have... More

This is a must do in Costa Rica. The Exploradores Outdoors staff was excellent. They picked us up at our cabina in Manzanillo and took us to their facility in Siquirres. We had a wonderful breakfast. They secured our luggage and took us to the river. Our guide Walter was fantastic. The white water trip and the scenery was some... More
