Did this trip from San Jose. Picked up by two friendly guides and drove 1.45 or so to the base. Greatest with a really tasty breakfast and really nice facilities. Given time to change if needed and store gear in lockers. What ever you wear in the raft will get soaked. If you get cold wear a thermal. We had... More

My mother and I took the Pacuare River whitewater rafting trip, and we had a wonderful time! I was a little worried about my mother (68 years old!) doing class 4&5 rapids, but our guide was amazing, and took good care of her. Michael is the best guide ever! He made the trip fun, had years of experience (so we... More

Excellent trip! Collected from our hotel in San Jose, great guide (Berto), taken to their base for decent breakfast, then another bus to Cano Blanco via a banana plantation with fantastic guide Laura. She was so good with the children and explaining things in English and Spanish. Boat to La Boula (hotel) with exciting sites/animals pointed out. Hotel is basic... More

This was one of our highlights of our trip. White water rafting has been on our bucket list. We were the first pickup and they picked us up next to our villa which was close to Manzanillo at 6:00am. We picked up 6 more people on the way to Rio Pacuare which was a good 2 hour drive. We ended... More

Our guide Daniel was so fun! He had a sense of humor and was extremely kind and friendly which made the day that much better! Once we arrived at the rive they had breakfast and coffee waiting. Once we got in the water with our awesome guide Taz, we traveled for about 2 hours before we stopped for lunch. The... More

My wife and I spent 9 days in Costa Rica traveling throughout the country for our honeymoon. While we booked our trip through Gecko Trail Adventures (who were excellent at well), we quickly found that we were going to be very familiar with the Exploradores team throughout the trip. Our first experience with them was when they picked us up... More

We did the adventure transfer from Puerto Veijo to Arenal which includes white water rafting on the pacuare river. The entire day was awesome! We got breakfast at the starting point and all the guides on the buses were super energetic and great at explaining the day ahead. Our guide on the raft was Kendal and he was really knowledgeable.... We went whitewater rafting down the Pacuare River and loved it! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone and this company was fantastic. Our guide was a lot of fun and made sure we understood all of the directions before we started. It was an amazing experience.
