Close to surf

My husband likes to stay in San Jose Del Cabo so he can go surfing at Costa Azul and the East cape easily.

The main problem with the beaches in San Jose del Cabo is they are too dangerous to swim in due to undertow problems in the area. The beach where we stayed, at the WorldMark was gorgeous, but we simply had to just sit there and look at it, since signs were posted about the dangers there.

We have been traveling to Cabo for over 25 years. And the locals at Costa Azul or Zippers have really gotten out of hand. Not recommended if you do not speak spainish. They are like a pack of wolves.

Costa Azul has the famous Zippers Beach, but don't bother surfing there as it is reserved for locals. No violence will come your way, but neither will any free waves. Pescado for beginners and The Rock for more confident surfers are a short walk from the car park. The beach isn't that well kept, so be careful to avoid the... More

Good place to surf but also swim or just hang on the beach. There are nicer beaches but this is the place to surf. If you want to surf be sure to book in advance. There are also neat rock formations that have crabs all over them. No facilities or food.

Costa azul stretches from Old mans, la rocks and zippers all the way down to the estuary. Surfing to beach breaks, calm and rough Some places quite wide Some places quiet and serene Some places resorted, loud and vendored A beach is Always good!

All of January, calm sea and whales for the watching, rays to entertain close in and great place to swim. Bummed there are no beach bars after Brisa closed. Actually can't even get a fish taco on the beach (maybe at Mama Mia's? Is it open after storm?)

Costa Azul is a beautiful place with breathtaking views of the water and peninsula. Prime surfing location and a great place to just relax for the afternoon.

The beach shone in the sun and the ocean sparkled. Very few vendors and tourists after the hurricane. I think this is the best time to appreciate what made this part of the world a destination.
