Good site to learn about the history of the area, and the Church is a good place to visit. Well preserved.

This weathered church had an aura of serenity and holiness.Worth your time to read the historical information and cultural history.

The San Jose Mission is an amazing piece of Colonial history that dates back to the 1700s. While you are in San Jose take moment to sit inside the mission and reflect upon the amazing transformation that has taken place in Baja since its founding several hundred years ago.

Stopped by on a Friday morning. There were maybe four or five people in the church. A little old lady was in the front pew singing - it was so sweet.

Disappointed. Not the ancient church I expected as a lot of it was restored with 20th century materials.

Old church mission like you peeled back the time clock, very nice! The blend of the downtown square and all of the shops makes this as the best landmark with the huge Mexico flag that you easily see form distances

The guide gave us an interesting history lesson about the church. Apparently it was not uncommon to have multiple wives until a new priest arrived in town that forbid it. There is a tile mosaic of him being roped and carried out of town.

WE went into the church during our recent visit and it is rich with history and it still offers services to the locals. It is a building that has been around for many years and has seen many changes during its time. I would highly recommend visiting this historical building if able to.

Upon our travels we always visit missions, chapel, etc. This was so nice and the entrance told of its history.
