Overall, I wasn't all that interested in San Jose as an excursion due to all the stores, but little other cultural spots. However, the Mission Church was a pretty neat site. Although it is not the original building, as the placards say, it sits on the site where Christian missionaries built a house of worship for the converted local population.... More

The historicity of this old mission church is inspiring, the church itself is very plain the mass was said part in English and mostly Spanish.

Just like any historical church, just came in to see what it was like, nothing fancy, located on the edge of the main square.

The service was in spanish, with english sprinkled throughout. It was very neat worshipping with the locals. The church is beautiful, but beware it is not air-conditioned, so plan accordingly.

We were on a tour of Los Cabos and surrounding area. The highlight of the tour was the Mission with an authentic Mexican Lunch at a nearby restaurant. The food was terrible, it was April and they played very bad Christmas Music, and continued to play it even after a few of us had asked to have it turned down... More

This is not updated on the website. We waited in a room full of people and was told there is no service because of the summer season. Geez, leave... More

The history of the local church dates back to the 1700s but this particular building only dates to around 1900. It is an interesting little church and is well worth a stop on the way around downtown. There are many more bigger and more impressive churches in Mexico so don't make any special trips to see this one. Some of... More
