I bought a glass ring thinking it was a real stone at Barons. Do not buy anything at this store. If you mind being ripped off don't go to this store in the plaza

A happening place. While we were staying in San Jose, the square was constantly bustling with preparations for various events. The major event during our stay, was the finishing line of The Ironman race.VIP areas, loud speaker installations, press tents and much more. A most exciting event. A beauty contest took place in the square, a dance performance art exhibits... More

Warm and friendly, historic architecture, Mexican charm. Most shops not very big - shopkeepers greet you on the street. No box stores!

They often have performances on stage, talented people and beautiful costumes and choreography. Usually well worth stopping for a while to watch and enjoy.

We have traveled to Mexico many times. This town square is very clean. There was a festivel when we were there. The people were nice, not to pushy at all. Lots of shopping, high end and touristy stuff. We did not buy too much as the prices were a bit high even after bardering with the shop owners.

a nice taste of the slow mexican culture with very little hustle and bustle. A nice combo of peddler stores and little boutiques with some great choices for food and drinks

Interesting church, clean and well-cared for, some history depicted by photos of past VIP. Many little stores with cordial owners...

We were here for the festival and lots of things to see. From the entertainment to the food and finally the fireworks at the old mission church all were amazing. The town has great shopping and restaurants. Art walk Thursdays is worth seeing. Bring a sweater as evenings can be cool. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
