learn about life in the Baja

Great way to learn about life in the Baja. We saw students learning in the square met artisans, and enjoyed some great food.

This is a nice place to people watch on a Sunday. Also, the street food here is safe to eat and very delicious, some of the best tostadas I have every had.

Prices seemed higher than normal for Mexico. Molly's was a nice little restaurant to snack in. Nothing really outstanding at town and walking around.

This is the main plaza of San Jose Del Cabo. This is surrounded with small shops and restaurants. This is a place to visit on Thursday night if you like going to Art and Wine walk. There are so many art galleries in the surrounding little streets.

Three of our group went into town in the late morning to scout out the square, visit the numerous souvenir shops and decide which to revisit on our return trip in the evening for the Art/Gallery stroll. In the evening the streets are closed to car traffic so the cobblestones streets are easy to traverse while wandering around. This Thursday evening... More

Spent the afternoon walking the through the town square and checked out some of the local shops. Most of the business's that sell tequila will let you taste some of the local brands (well worth it).

We liked the square. About 20 minutes from Royal Solaris. Quaint and traffic free. Right on the edge of the Art District. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Clean, comfortable and safe. Very local feel. Not too much hawking from locals (we dislike all of the hawking in Cabo San Lucas).

Walking thru out the plaza and adjoining street the shop keepers were attentive without seeming pushy. The evening we roamed the area a art festival was on display with a nice mixture of locals and travelers. Restaurants and small diners were at hand for a well rounded choice of food at reasonable prices.

What a beautiful down town picture perfect square. Quant little shops with tons of Mexican trinkets. Don't forget to haggle, they expect that. Great silver jewelry shopping. Great restaurants & pubs. Easily walkable. Not as big as cabo San Lucas, which I prefer. Very clean, and close walking distance from many resorts.
