We walked around taking in the sites and sounds of the local culture. Thursday nights they host an artist walk where local merchants open their doors to the public and showcase their goods. In the Main square, we enjoyed homemade churros, and purchased goods (pottery, rosary and art work) from the local open air market as the beautiful sounds of... More

this is a very nice place. Clean and safe. The local, family owned shops offer a lot of authentic local arts. We were there on a Thurs afternoon as they were setting up for the art walk. Saw a lot of very nice stuff.

Loved the history in Cabo San Jose! From the food to the boutique hotels we really loved the slower pace!

Artists, dancers, the ballon man and lots of kids enjoying a balmy night in the square. Young locals were on stage practicing Mexican dancing for an upcoming festival, it felt very 'alive' in the square, we later did the Art Walk which is great.

The whole main square area is awesome. Its colorful, there are tons of good places to eat and there is a huge art district. Thursdays are the art walk, where you can cruise around and look in all the galleries its super fun.

The town square in old town San Jose del Cabo is worth the visit. On Thursday nights they have an "art walk" from about 18:30 to 21:30 (6:30 to 9:30). We had not realized what an artists town this is. There were plenty of exhibits inside and out ranging from amateurish art to excellent art. Sculptures, paintings, weaving etc. Well... More

This is a very clean, well kept square that hosts events on many evenings - especially weekends. Events target the local population and seem to be popular. As a PLACE to visit - not really very special by itself.

On Thursday evenings they have the art walk with entertainment and many places to eat and all the shops are open. This is the night to go not crowded and a very safe atmosphere.

A typical Square in Mexico. It does have a nice Band Stand. But nothing too outstanding. Good for a visit though

One night a week there is an art walk in the area around the main square. Galleries are open late and there is a wonderful array of sculpture, paintings, crafts that go beyond local fare and jewelry.
