Nice evening art walk!

We enjoyed strolling downtown San Jose del Cabo and seeing all the local art and little art galleries.

My husband & I have been doing this for years and enjoy it every time we visit. So many talented artists in the area. It's held every Thursday evening during the summer months in San Jose. The Square is also full of talented artists, music and entertainment. San Jose also has many great restauants. I suggest taking a cab because... More

Thursdays, 6-9 pm, downtown San Jose del Cabo. All the galleries around the main square (easy to find, look for the church, also a lovely visit) are open, many serve wine and they showcase a wide variety of products, from affordable decorative items and basic jewelry to large sculptures, paintings and interesting handmade jewelry = something for everyone. A great... More

Thursday evening is when they have ART walk through old town Cabo San Jose. It goes 6-9pm and the art galleries are open for viewing. Plus it is an excellent time for deals to be made. Handmade pottery or jewelry can usually be 20-25% off the regular price. Found some really nice stuff.

This is the perfect way to get to see all of the galleries. Otherwise, it is difficult to find a time when they are all open. It's festive, and there are a lot of great artists in this community. It's a lovely evening to walk through town. I've done this twice, and will try to make it every time I... More

There are a few things that make this memorable: The galleries host a variety of artistic styles and mediums; Some have free wine, to help with the mood; The lighting of San Jose at dusk is beautiful; And experiencing it all with your travelling partner makes it perfect!

I have started the Art Walk twice, but I have never finished it! There are wonderful galleries as well as local artists displaying in the plaza. It is a very nice way to become acquainted with typical Mexican pottery like Talavera, indigenous work like Huichol beadwork, and artists like Diego Rivera.

We were pretty disappointed....not many vendors. I was hoping to find something fun and unique to buy, but didn't find anything. If you want to visit galleries then there are some very nice ones. We were expecting more of a street fair with vendors and food booths. It is worth going to walk the streets, but don't expect too much.... More

Every thursday the galleries welcome you with new art. Be sure to walk the streets of the art district but dont get confused on the street vendors of the plaza. The real high end work is display at the galleries. You wont regret it!!
