I'm 62 and my son is 11 and we decided to take a surf lesson. Emailed Gino the night before, answered some basic questions and arranged a lesson for the next day. We had a blast. We both got up after a few tries and felt really comfortable and safe with our instructor. Great two hour lesson in warm water.... More

Just got back from a trip to Cabo. Took a group lesson with family at Costa Azul Surf Shop. From the moment you walk into the shop, you feel welcome from all the staff. Alex, the owner, was one of our instructors, along with Crazy Joe, and some other cool bro’s (who unfortunately I forgot their names), were professional, knowledgeable,... More

These guys have the best deal on the best surfboard rentals in Cabo! The boards are made by a local shaper, Olea, and they have a variety of shapes. Everything from high-performance shortboards, hybrids, alternative shortboards, funshapes, and longboards. Highly recommended! Great customer service too!

We came to Cabo to learn how to surf and we are now surfers thanks to Costa Azul Surf School! Alex and his crew were fantastic: dedicated and patient. They are genuinely happy to initiate newbies to this incredible sport. Their teaching methods are simple and easy to understand and as a result, we had immediate results. The equipment was... More

These guys really know their surfing! We were greeted at the shop to grab our water shoes and rash guards. We then met the surf crew (Raphael, Roy, Chewy) down at the Playa Acapulquito beach. They had umbrellas and chairs for us, as well as water. We spent a few minutes getting the basics on land then it was surfs... More

These guys were totally professional and expert surfers. The first time I tried to surf I just got beat up. This time I was taught all the important steps required to make surfing easy and enjoyable. I now can't wait to go surfing again! Also, the waves at Costa Azul are just perfect for learning. Big enough but not too... More

We didn't surf but rented last minute snorkel gear. This is a small store but perfect for snorkeling and surfers. Rented snorkel gear and they were helpful, friendly and prices were great. Highly recommend.

I've been out surfing with the Costa Azul team 6 times with various groups, most recently with my wife and kids. They do a wonderful job with everyone from absolute beginners to mixed groups to experienced surfers looking to leverage their detailed local knowledge about conditions & breaks. Roy, Rafa, Loco Joe and Chewie make the experience for all a... More

We had a great lesson with Roy and Raphael from Costa Azul Surf Shop. They were super nice and encouraging, and really stuck with us so we had a great experience. And Crazy Joe took some great photos, made even us look good! The sets were really consistent and the water was warm, waves were a great size. It is... More

We took surf lessons and everyone was great. The shop staff was super helpful. Roy did a great job "on the beach with his instructions" we were in the water and surfing quickly. We both got up on our first waves, with Roy's help and many waves after that. They took some great pictures. Great 2 hours with some great... More
