We have taken many personal tours around the world, and this one ranks very near the top ! We met Claudia Velo on time and she drove us to Tortilleria y Molino El Mexicano for fresh made tortillas and breakfast. This is a difficult place to find on your own without a car and at first glance is just another... More

Four women who have vacationed together for many years in Cabo signed up for Mexican basics class with Donna. We learned about how the cuisine in Cabo has changed with the influence of various Mexican settlers. We learned how to roast vegetables to make a quick and yummy salsa, followed by a soup with dumplings and two kinds of chili... More

Donna, thanks for referring us to the food tour with Claudia. The 4 of us had a wonderful time. Claudia taught us so much about the food, history and culture of MX and of Cabo. We've all been to Cabo many times. so it was such a treat to see "the other" side of Cabo. Claudia sent us home with... More

Donna presented more than just a "how to" on cooking Mexican Comfort Foods, but also shared her enthusiasm for the positive changes taking place in Cabo. She and Claudia shared the history of Mexican culture and traditions. We learned how to identify and properly use various peppers and the cooking methods and tools used for authentic food prep. There were... More

We spent this past Wednesday with Donna learning how to make mole in the LUNCH IN OAXACA class. The class was very informative and fun. In addition to cooking, Donna shared the history of the area as well as her life's experiences. Our next trip to Cabo we will be looking to take another class. By the way, we were... More

It wasn't just a cooking class, Donna provides a history and geography lesson too. She guides visitors on where to purchase locally as well. We started with a hearty red sauce which included a lesson on types of peppers and how to purchase, cook and store them. We built that sauce into a hearty soup with meatballs and corn flour... More

Now we know why it is so hard to get a reservation at this cooking class! Donna was terrific and we learned so much. Both my husband and I are very comfortable in the kitchen and we learned at least 6 new things... probably more, but we lost count. Small, intimate groups in an amazing house/kitchen. Donna is very generous... More

My friend and I were fortunate to get into Donna's basic Mexican class on New Year's Eve. I have taken many cooking classes over the past 35 years and Donna's class is at the top of my list!! She is so interesting and her cooking directions and techniques exceptional. Her home is so comfortable and inviting and she welcomed us... More

What a wonderful experience. Donna is a wealth of knowledge and it was so fun to learn how to cook in her personal kitchen. We learned so much and had a great meal that we had made ourselves (or at least helped with). We met nice people from all over and got away from the hotels into the local culture.... More
