It's really odd - how you're shown some scribbled numbers on scratch paper for insurance rates. I've driven across the border and brought Mexican insurance. These rates were incredibly high. But what do you do - they have got you by the throat. I rode back to the airport with another couple who had the same experience and complaint. Upon... More

We have just returned from Cabo San Lucas week of May 11-18. We purchased insurance for rental cars through our American Express Platinum card which guaranteed that for $19.95 per rental, insurance in Mexico was covered. We arrived at the Thrifty counter, showed them the insurance policy and were told that it did not cover personal liability which was required... More

I prepaid for a rental car with Dollar in San Antonio last week. Our flight there was very late, getting in at 2 am. When we found out we would be so late, I called the 800 number who told me the rental desk was closed at midnight. I called the number that is listed on my "voucher" as desk... More

Located at the southern tip of Baja California, “Cabo” is a fishing village turned roughly into a beach resort town mainly for the enjoyment of west coast Americans, it appears. It is Mexico Light for Gringos. Judging from the amazing spread of recently constructed housing there must be a middle class here of sorts but we didn’t see much evidence... More

DO not go near these people..I paid £120 for a weeks hire with Rentalcars.com in the UK but after checking my credit card tDollar took £152 in extra charges. Most of the things I had already refused and was charged for fuel even though the tank was full. These people prey on people who are tired and slightly overwhelmed by... More

We rented a car for 6 days through Thrifty online. The amount online was $40. I am not naive. Researched it online and found that you should probably triple the price. I figured up to $20 a day for Mexican Liability plus some taxes and fees. So I was expecting $160-$180. We printed out the document from our credit card... More

My Husband & I made the mistake of renting with this sub-standard company in Mexico City. We ran into the same problems as the other people who have posted about Fox. Their service is so unbelievably slow and they are very rude workers. There is no need to take over 1 hour doing paperwork to rent a car anywhere in... More

I have to give Luxxury Leisure Collection a good review as overall I was very impressed with the great customer service I received from Luxxury Leisure Collection team during my vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I signed up a couple of years ago now for the Travel Vacation Discount Programme and was a little hesitant at first about joining... More

Before departing for Cabo San Lucas we decided to rent a car for a week. We contacted Expedia and they recommended FOX rentals . They told us about the amazing deal that was offered, so went ahead and booked it. At the FOX office, they tried to sell us the most expensive insurance, however, we had extended insurance ourselves so... More
