Arte de Origen is a company that produces and designs unique objects inspired on images from different Mexican and Latin- American cultures. We embody such images in; carpets, boxes, furniture, mirrors and sculptures, made integrally by hand. We mainly use, paper, fabrics, metal, paints, patinas and lacquer, thus insuring unique objects, finished with wax and pigments. We use the collagetechnique to perform our objects. This are: small pieces of paper cut by hand to create the layout of each object and leave the imprint of the hand made. In this sense, every object is unique and has been made based on this principal. In some pieces the technique is developed on objects with wooden base and in the case of the tapestries they are made on basis of Kraft paper. Painting is not used, but rather is work with the original colors of the paper. In all cases the objects are finished with the patinas wax technique.Enjoy the world of Arte de Origen.

If you want a nice souvenir. This is where you will find. They have many Mexican crafts. It is a good place to find things in detail.

We only stopped to browse, as we had been in this shop on our last trip to Cabo & really liked what we had seen. Roxana spent a lot of time showing us different prints, getting to know us & then we finally came up with an idea & she told us that this could be made & sent to... More

This was a very unique place. If you are looking for something unusual start here. There is nothing cheap here but you get what you pay for.

The shop is loaded with all kinds/types of art - but don't think you are walking into an art gallery full of paintings. Some of the most unique presentations I have seen - all under one roof. We have started a menagerie of their papier-mâché animals. You can start a collection of their welded-up metal fish. Pretty expensive, so only... More

For the past several years on my visits to Cabo I make it a point to visit Arte de Origen. It is most unique. Each time I visit I find something to add to my collection. I now have 5 pieces in my collection. There is such variety. From artwork, sculptures to furiiture. You can even order a custom piece.... More

This store had so many unique authentic Mexican pieces. There are a lot of stores in Cabo that have the same stuff but this one is worth the time to visit. The owners are very nice and the prices are average.

This is a great little shop. We bought a piece for our beach house that will be one of a kind. Abdiel was friendly and very helpful, a pleasure to do business with him.
