Bahia de Cabo San Lucas is a very welcoming port for cruise visitors. Even the ship has to anchor and transfer the passengers into the port by tender, once get ashore the port has a welcoming atmosphere. The merchants at the port are helpful without appearing pushing. Much of the souvenir shops offer local as well as regular tee-shirts, hats,... More

Swimming with dolphins, havin' coronas & tequila, enjoying the wonderfull weather of this paradisiac place cover up the chaotic traffic issues. Many restaurants all over the place, with the more than wellcome "mariachis" singers, doing "serenatas" to the tourists is just one of the many atractions of this beautifull place. The Arch of Cabo San Lucas & the "playa de... More

The Cabo San Lucas bay is full of shops, restaurants, and locals offering boat rides to playa el medano (beach), el arco (the arch), and lover's beach. There are also relatively clean bathrooms here in the cruise ship terminal. Shop around before making a purchase decision, as prices can vary a whole lot from one vendor or shop to another.... More

If you are on a cruise (as I was) visiting a number of Mexican Riviera ports in relatively quick succession, including Puerto Chiapas, Huatulco, Ouerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, you could eazsily forget the first and revel in the last three. But Cabo San Lucas stood out in one particular aspect: the wealth and development of the coast facing... More

Go to the main square to see the surrounding art galleries and tourist type stores. Thursday evenings Art Walk is worth doing to get that Mexican fell.

On a late afternoon when the hear subsides, a walk around the bahia is good fun. The views are good and change as you walk and there are street vendors and other people to share the fun. We walk from the Marina to the new Mercado and back.

We arrived in Cabo San Lucas by cruise ship which is a tender port, but which only took about 5 minutes to the pierside. We did not have a trip until the afternoon, so just walked along the promenade lined with shops and restaurants. Most of the shops were selling souvenirs and the cafes had loud music blaring out, reminiscent... More

The beaches, resorts, funky shops, great bars, and Mexican hospitality make this a prime vacation spot. You will feel and be very safe, and their is a wide range of activities, from sport fishing (some of the world's best!), to dining and exploring to meet just about everyone's tastes. This was our first visit since the early 1990's, and Cabo... More
