The weather was not on our side. It was cloudy, not that windy when we waited for our boat tour. As we went out, it was very windy and had lots of waves. We were able to see the fin whales, but that was all. Super friendly staff and is pet friendly. I was able to bring my dog on... More

The boat is well suited for seniors as it is big with easy access and two stories. But the boat is not as fast and maneuverable which meant we did not travel far. We have had better whale watching experiences on small zodiacs that can travel further and faster. These make for bumpy rides, but you end up closer to... More

My husband and I had a great trip with this company. We were on the last tour going out for the day and before we knew it we were surrounded by whales. The whales were in a good mood and gave us quite a show. A few days after we went on our trip, my husband took my daughter and... More

The day we went out wasn't the most ideal for whale watching but still managed to see 2-3 minke whales and quite a few seals, as well as sea birds. The owners/operators were very knowledgable and enthusiastic to share their extensive knowledge of the ecosystem of Pleasant Bay, knowledge which no doubt has stemmed from their primary career as fishermen... We were booked for 2:30 tour, but they were running behind and booked for the 3:30pm tour so we had to kill some time and when we returned we were asked if we were among the party of 10? We said we were not and were then told that it was too windy, (I had mentioned that before we booked)... More

I was very disappointed with these guys. I understand that wildlife watching is not a guaranteed affair, but we were sold an entirely different trip than the one we got. First of all, the Captain showed up 30 minutes after the expected departure time - we had seen him in town chatting in a local shop right before heading to... More

We are sorry for your experience with guaranteed whales.com, if you had a complaint you should have come to me in the office, as for following the whales we are 1 small boat in the middle of a big ocean we do not have control over the whales and with that said if you want to see whales do tricks... Loved the whole experience. Allison was so nice and helpful. She spent time helping us with directions and even called motels in the area and gave advice on where to stay. The whale cruise was a success. We saw at least 15 or more whales. The captain received word that a humpback whale was near where we were and drove... More

My wife and I enjoyed the cruise in Pleasant Bay to go watch for whales.Great crew and boat. Smooth water that day and we saw lots of kinds of whales. It is hard to believe that in the Cabot Trail area there will be a more spectacular site only kilometers down the road.

I try to visit Nova Scotia and the Cabot trail at least once a year in the fall. This year I went the week before Thanksgiving and we had wonderful weather. It has been about 9 years since i went whale watching and as we had pretty decent weather we decided to try Wesley's Whale watching. While there are i... More

I have to qualify this sour grapes review as I realize these guys have a business to run. Advice for anyone looking to do a whale watching trip - call ahead first and check on qty of people booked and recent sightings. Operators typically want at least 6 customers before they go out. There are 4 operators at this harbor.... More
