Extremely family friendly. Vacationed with my wife, son 12, daughter 16 and daughters friend 15. This beautiful massive family ranch has been in the family for generations. To my surprise Tomas, one of the owners picked us up at our rented home and told us the family history as we drove about 30 minutes out of town. We were a... More

My eight year daughter and I had an amazing time horseback riding with Tomas and his family. From the first moment we met Tomas, we felt welcomed and completely taken care of, his hospitality and kindness is incredible. My daughter is a very beginning rider, and had never trotted or cantered before. On our trail ride, she was able to... More

I went to Xotolar ranch with my wife, two daughters and my in laws. I was hesitating about going or riding the horses because my daughters are 1 and 6. I'm glad we went, my 6 year old had her own horse (lluvia) and had the time of her life. They strapped my 1 year old on me really well... More

My husband, 18 year-old granddaughter & I had a wonderful experience with Tomas & some of his very large family today. He & approximately 35 of his family members own a large working ranch 35 minutes from SMA. We began by milking a cow & watching the making of blue corn tortillas. Then we mounted our horses & began a... More

My husband and I decided to go horseback riding over the weekend. It was undoubtedly one of the major highlights of any of our experiences in Mexico! Tomas picked us up at our place in San Miguel, drove us out to the ranch where Felix let us milk a cow (& ate the cheese that afternoon made from the milk... More

My husband and I and our 13-year old son went out with Felix, his son Gustavo and their cousin on a half-day excursion on April 15, 2015. We were picked up on time from our rental house and learned a lot about the ranch and the Morin family. We met some of the lifestock, milked a cow (or tried to)... More

We enjoyed this so much we returned three days later for a longer ride! No matter if you are experienced or a novice, they will make the ride appropriate for you. Some of the most beautiful countryside, combined with some of the finest people we met guiding, plus fun, fun, fun!!!! This is no "ride in a line" ranch. They... More

This was not only our favorite excursion while visiting San Miguel de Allende-it ranks as one of our all time favorite family adventures! We had two adults and two teens aged 16 and 17. Tomas was amazing and 100% responsive to our inquiries. Leo picked us up promptly at 9:00 a.m. the Saturday of Easter weekend and entertained us thoroughly... More

My six year old daughter had been on a horse all of one time before this. She rode for three hours and enjoyed every minute of it. My four year old rode part of the time on her own horse and partly with me. She loved riding through the creek. My husband was nervous about the girls riding on their... More

Since it was my first time riding horses I was a little bit scared, but Tomas and Felix made me feel confident about the riding. The sightseeing is wonderful and the food an the end of the ride prepared by their families is rural ranch style and just great. My kids were happy and enjoyed the experience.
