They class was great. We ate and drank for 3 hrs. Glad we did it while in San Miguel. I would definitely try other classes that they offer.

We participated in Chef Emanuel's Regional Mexican Cuisine class and had a great time. The class was very active and fun, the food was delicious, and everyone could get involved as much or as little as they wanted. We prepared an amazing Sopa Azteca (best I've ever had), chiles rellenos, enchiladas with salsa verde, fresh corn tortillas, and chocolate tequila... More

We were able to arrange this class before leaving for San Miguel de Allende. They worked with us to devise a menu that took into account our dietary preferences. The trip to the market with Chef Emanuel was in and of itself worth the time. It was a real eye opener and a lot of fun. He is a born... More

Emmanuel was a knowledgable & friendly host/chef/teacher. Our group totally was involved in all aspects of the cooking, from shopping in the market where Emmanuel explained each ingredient, to the chopping, stirring, & cooking. It was fun and the food was delicious! ( chicken enchiladas, quesadillas, soaps, salsa, etc.) this is a 'don't miss experience!

Our group of six attended the Tuesday Market Visit and Cooking Class which we all enjoyed, even those in our group not into cooking! The market tour where the chef purchased ingredients for our lunch was so interesting. We sampled many items unfamiliar to us and were grateful for the introduction to new foods. We all participated in the preparation... More

I was so excited about attending a cooking class last week at Sazon here in San Miguel. When I arrived I was told there would be 7 of us in the class, and the general feeling was "the more the merrier." We were told we'd be making three dishes - a soup, a main dish, and a dessert. All of... More

Both of these classes were fun and informative. Emanuel took us to the Mercado in 1st class which informed us how to shop & taste unfamiliar foods. The healthy cooking class included a beautiful, delicious salad of amaranth, various nuts, seeds, and fruit, topped off with grilled shrimp. Emanuel not only showed us how to prepare these foods, but had... More

We started out going to the local markets to get our meat and produce for the meal we were going to prepare. It was really worth a lot just to see exactly what things are that we, from the states, weren't used to purchasing. Then back to sazon to really mix it up. Flavors were amazing. Food was great. It... Great experience. We learned how to make the perfect tortillas, made a fabulous chicken mole, delicious vegetable soup, flan and margaritas. The class was extremely well organized and just the right balance of instruction and participation. The ingredients and equipment were high quality. We enjoyed meeting and working with our classmates as well. Overall it was an extremely valuable and... More

This was our first cooking class, and MAN...it was a winner. We got to go to the market and Chef Emmanuel introduced us to all kinds of local foods. Then, we prepared many delicious dishes (that are easy enough for a novice like me, but could be added to by more advanced cooks) and talked and hung out. I HIGHLY... More
