I have studied at several Spanish schools over the years, including three in SMA. Habla Hispana is by far the best. The teachers have lots of training and education. While you'll have one primary teacher, depending upon the level you're placed into, the daily schedule also includes conversation hours with the other teachers, so you have the benefit of lots... The wonderful folks at Habla have enriched my Spanish studies off and on for over 10 years now. Since I live in San Miguel I take advantage of private classes with Martha now. But early in our lives here my husband and I took group classes to get us talking with the basics. So one can start with the basics... More

I learned so much at Habla Hispana in just a few short weeks. The instructors were extremely helpful and I learned so many small nuances of the language I could not have learned otherwise. Truly a great experience!

In a very short time, my Spanish improved a lot. My teacher was excellent at explaining difficult grammatical concepts, and was able to initiate interesting conversations in which e would be forced to use the skills e had practiced. I really enjoyed how class often didn't feel like class, but rather felt like a fun conversation with my friends and... More

I am so glad I got the opportunity to attend the Habla HIspana language school for 3 weeks. I have studied Spanish for a very long time, but I have learned more in my 3 weeks at Habla Hispana than I did in any classroom in the U.S. They emphasized grammar in the speaking context, and all of the exercises... Great school with great teachers. The cooking classes and walking tours are awesome and enlightening, but beware of the 'cantando' class. You don't actually sing. Other than that, everything is awesome. A great place for anyone to learn Spanish.

Very good language schools. The teachers are friendly, helpful, and engaging. Studying here has greatly improved my grammar and confidence in using Spanish. The class sizes are small enough for the teachers to focus on personal developing each student's language skills. The homestays are an amazing way to be enveloped in Mexican culture and the families are all very friendly.... More

I attended Habla Hispana for three weeks. While in San Miguel you can enjoy the easy walking distance from your house or hotel to the jardin or nearby restaurants and shops, learning Spanish should be an integral part of your trip. I came with a pretty solid background in most of the grammar but had a hard time speaking the... More

Again this time I found Habla Hispana to be a welcoming place with generally good teaching. It is fairly casual and features conversation, in a beautiful building. If you can arrange to get Marta as a teacher, you will be lucky. If not, you may want to observe the teaching of others or interview present students, since at least one... More

We went to Habla Hispana for the last 2 weeks of a four week session. Everything about the school was well-organized, and our instructor was really helpful to get us caught up with the rest of the class. I would say the grammar instruction was particularly outstanding, but the whole program was very well planned and executed. At the time... More
