Great selection of English and Spanish books. Located in the historical district the Biblioteca has distinctive historical touches and painted frescos that will take your breath away. Have breakfast or lunch at the Santa Ana restaurant and visit the Santa Ana theatre for an evening show. Best deal in town More

Coming from Guanajoato for the day, was in shock from all the gringos. Went for the house tour with 3 buses full of English speakers. The tour was interesting but took 2 hours anyway and started 1/2 an hour late for 3 homes. It was a nice way to see different neighborhoods and the inside of large homes. More

Every Sunday there is a tour of 2-3 homes. The money benefits children of the area. The expats do a great job with organizing the tours and programs that enhance the lives of everyone there. Also saw a play there. Good gift shop with books of the area in English Food available in nice little cafe. More

The Biblioteca is a library, restaurant, venue for classes, bookstore, theatre, music venue, etc. It is near the center of town and is a great place to meet and hang out. It is also the publisher of The Atencion, the English language newspaper. You should definitely visit if this is your first trip to San Miguel, and you should definitely... More

They seem to offer a lot more than books. Lectures, seminars, etc.. are also held. The new gift shop was almost done in its renovation when we were there, beautiful, interesting mural. More

Don't miss their Sunday home and garden tours. The money goes to the library which, in turn, helps the local people tremendously. More

I love how the expats of SMA have all undertaken various projects like the library to keep it up and running. It has a little book store, a restaurant and tours to take from there every week to see some of the impressive houses. More
