We used to go here all the time when our kids were toddlers, they have a kids room and offer inexpensive memberships. They also have a bookstore, a cafe, and a theatre that offers regular events. Lovely murals inside. As expats missing the public library system in the states, this is a great community resource.

I became a member of the library and had to give all kinds of documentation but they still gave me a card with my name as Mega - hah! Anyways, not wifi here which is a bummer but maybe cool bc it forces you to read analog. Love the bodega sale in the back on Thursdays, can find some cool... More

What an amazing find, House Tours every weekend by the library volunteers. As a first time visitor to San Miguel de Allende I was surprised to find this kind of offering for a modest fee. We enjoyed live Mariachi music prior to boarding the four provided buses that took us to visit two different homes. This was a really fun... More

Besides books they also have many lectures & films. On Friday pick up the paper to find out what is going on in town for the next week. The art/craft fair they have twice a month is very nice. Skip the flamingo dancers on Sunday afternoons it is amateur mediocre show. Nice coffee shop for snack or lunch.

My first visit was for a casual breakfast, which didn't disappoint. Friendly, staff, good food and great lattes. I was encouraged by a local to view the many murals, each different in addressing the many cultural background of Mexico. There is also a theatre in the complex which hosts a variety of different shows. The schedule is posted and tickets... More

The books are probably the objective of a public library but this one combines the building with the painting in its walls, the surroundings, and the actual content of lots of books, many of them in English to cater for the extensive English-speaking communitity in town.

This is where the resident foreigners meet to eat. They also volunteer in the computer lab and teach English as a second language. We heard a guitarist preform there one night too, I believe the show movies too

This is a unique facility. Not only does it offer books in both English and Spanish, but it also has a cafe, a theatre, a shop, a courtyard and a meeting room. The Board runs programs for kids at school and also provides funds to other organisations like Joven Adelante. On Sundays, there is a program of visiting lovely homes... More

This is an interesting place to spend the afternoon. Nice little gift shop and wonderful little cafe in the courtyard. We had a good lunch there.
