The social and intellectual center of the expatriate community. They organize a house and garden tour on Sundays.

We loved the gathering place that is the library! Went on the Sunday house tour and regretted we didn't get on the walking tours the rest of the week. What a wonderful group of people - the artists on display, the volunteers, the musicians entertaining the gathering. Great resource and great wi-fi. Stop in early in your trip!

Go to the Cafe in the courtyard they serve the best sandwiches in town. The baguettes are tasty and fresh. The service was excellent so we ate lunch there twice and no surprises everything went fine they even carried a chair to accommodate us in a shady area of the restaurant.

This is an amazing organization! So many wonderful activities and learning opportunities. I have attended some of their lectures, movies and classes and even volunteered one day to assist children in making masks. Everything was wonderful. This place is bustling with life and excitement.

Good place for lectures and movies for wannabe intellectuals. Ride the crowded buses to house tours on Sunday so expats can show how the are spending their pensions and social security.

This is in the heart of San Miguel and offers movies, tours and, of course books to ex pats and others. The little courtyard cafe has good coffee.

As well as lots of books you can arrange guided tours, attend various lectures, have lunch or a cup of coffee and use the free wi-fi. And there are movies with a cultural bent in two theatres.
