Visited on a cold morning, the water was comfy in the coolest pool and perfect hot soak in the grotto. At 1 pm they open a jet of water in the cave, consider it a free massage. Quick poolside food and beverage service starts at about 11 am. Lockers and showers were very clean, and free wifi, very fast

We went on a Tuesday morning at 7:30 am. Not all the pools were full yet, but it was quiet and an absolute delight. We sat and ate a filling breakfast of eggs, beans & toast.fresh juice, and fresh coffee on a balcony with a sweet cat. Take a taxi. And there will be taxis waiting when you are ready to... More

This is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon and relax. The pools are warm, not extremely hot but very relaxing. Changing room and bathrooms were very clean and the drinks looked enticing but a rain storm came in.

A short taxi ride from San Miguel and you're at this relaxing place, with several warm water pools (not hot as we expected) but then there's the grotto (La Gruta) an artificial cavern reached by a long tunnel, full of hot water, about waist deep. Now that's really relaxing! After a soak in the grotto, it was a pleasure to... More

Quite a nice place to relax for a few hours. Many different pools, I counted 7 but 3 of them were closed/empty, not sure what that was about. The "grotto" is artificial, it's a big domed structure over one of the pools with a few tiny holes for sunlight to come in but it was nice and quiet and the... More

Only a shiort taxi ride from SMA (120 pesos), is this beautiful oasis of calm...the thermal pools are very clean & so are the bathrooms! The grounds are very well maintained, there is a restaurant , you can also get a massage. I do not recommend going on weekends as it gets very crowded , morning weekdays are perfect! You... More

We visited La Gruta on a weekday at mid-morning via taxi from San Miguel ($12.00 USD) The grounds are very lush and tropical, feels like an oasis in the desert. We paid our admission fee (about $11.00 USD pp) The change rooms are clean, and there are lockers for rent. The main attraction is the large thermal pool, with a... More

I had the most relaxing time a La Greta! I went fir the first time on a day trip from GTO. The thermals was amazing and the grounds are very nice. Get there early so you can enjoy the place to yourself. I had such a great relaxing time I went again before I left Mexico. Every since I have... More

Visiting La Gruta was such a treat! It really is good for what ails you, a series of pools of varying temperatures, then a tunnel leading to a grotto where the water is hot. Great fun. Loved every Minute. Nice gardens, walkways and grounds. Changing facilities and a cafe.
