I love the hot spring water pool and the lounge area that you can lay around and get some beer while you are soaking up the sun. More

Over the past 4 years La Gruta has changed substantially. Open Monday to Saturday 7am-5 with entry at 90pesos. There are now more than 3 restaurants to choose from and the pools have been expanded so there are now more than 3 or 4 locations to enjoy the thermal springs. The grotto is an interesting experience and you can't beat... More

All of these establishments have a unique take on providing you with pleasure, but of these "La Gruta" is my personal favorite. I have peeves. Lifeguards at swimming pools. Hate... More

For kids it is OK. But to charge for old people who have trouble walking is a total disgrace. More

Beautiful natural setting with facilities that keep improving. Our favorite time to go is early in the morning (they open at 7am) Monday through Friday. The light in the cave is very special at this time and the waterfall runs until 11am. There are other areas of natural hot springs that our bigger with more pools that I prefer for... More

The cave they refer to is a man-made stone dome over one of the pools - the hottest one, where the water first comes in from underground. But it's a fun spot to get a bit of sun, have a light lunch and soak those aching joints. People warned us to avoid the crowds on weekends but we enjoyed it... More

This is one of the highlights of a trip to San Miguel de Allende. There are three pools filled with mineral water, warm, warmer, very warm. The last pool is entered through a tunnel and has a torrent of water pouring out of a hole, a great massage for your body. The restaurant has good food, affordable prices. We like... More
