How can you argue with a beautifully landscaped hot spring - the swimming is amazing, and when you're tired you can get a beer and a shrimp cocktail! I love La Gruta!

Apparently you need to arrive between 7 and 9am to get the freshly pumped hot water splashing on your back, however we arrived later and the pools where so warm and relaxing and just a few friendly people swimming around, wouldnt stay there for a whole day though, nice for a couple of hours visit.

Love this quaint place outside of the city of San Miguel Allende. Hot water springs are very relaxing but very sweaty, we went during vacation time and on a Friday, my mistake I guess. There were so many people but in spite of the crowd I enjoyed the relaxation of the hot springs if you don't enjoy children this is... More

Although one of the main pools was closed and some of the lawn chairs may have been in need of repair as another reviewer pointed out, we had a great afternoon enjoying the waters and especially the hot domed room which was rather mystical and wonderful. You could even enjoy a tasty beverage in some of the smaller pools and... More

Loved relaxing by the pool and on Friday it was 2x1. The hot springs are amazing -- beautiful spot to soak up some sun in San Miguel.

After finding the correct transportation, (taxi) we were on our way to the most relaxing day of our vacation. La Gruta is a short distance from the main square, and boasts a luxurious spa experience. The hot pools are hot, the facilities top notch. My favourite was the water-filled tunnel walk to the main hot pool, like a cave! Absolutely... More

La Gruta, a short ten minute ride from San MIguel de Allende, has authentic hot springs within a cave. You enter from an outdoor pool through a passage way. The hot mineral water is rejuvenating and relaxing. Small openings at the top bring in light and every so often their is a jet from above that gives you the chance... More

They never stop improving this place, get there early for the "gush" the hot water that springs from a pipe in the "gruta" cave. People line up to have the water beat their shoulders - truly an amazing experience. The grounds are filled with trees and greenery. There are shallow pools for kids and plenty of area to play. The... More
