El Jardin is located directly across from the Cathedral here and is full of life at all parts of the day. We witnessed music, street dancers impromptu in the gazebo, business man meeting with conversations of the day and local families letting their kids play on the plaza. It should be experienced at sunset as well with the lighting bringing... More

This area was such a nice surprise. Right in the heart of the city with lots of restaurants around, music, and of course, the historical parish. We spent hours relaxing under the trees and soaking in the atmosphere and culture of this beautiful town.

The Jardin or Zocalo is smallish but has beautiful views, lots of trees and benches, and is relaxing. There are often mariachis or other groups performing nearby.

I've been to 32 countries on every continent except Antarctica (I only mention this for comparison) and the main square/Jardin of San Miguel is one of the most magical places I've ever been. Day and night, life happens here... kids playing, couples wandering, people sitting on the benches just watching the Parrochia church, Mariachis singing on the corner (and maybe... More

I came to Mexico to stay for a month before my companion came to town for another month, and while here on my own there was do way to avoid this park situated in the center of town or at least El Centro which when translated means the center of the center. I like to grab an ice cream cone... More

The Jardin is the center of San Miguel - attracting locals and visitors of all ages and walks of life at all hours of the day and night. There are families with children, elderly couples, young lovers, musicians, clowns, vendors. You can hear several mariachis playing at once in different parts of the huge area, and young locals dancing and... More

We have been to San Miguel De Allende five times and each time the Jardin will have a cultural activity. One must plan some time to hang out and enjoy the people and the events. When music is played, most everyone dance to it. RMS

El Jardin is a great place to people watch. It was amazing to see how crowded it was on Friday and Saturday nights. There were several "shows" going on around it. There are always some kids dancing in or around the gazebo and that is fun to watch. Sometimes it is quiet and peaceful too. No matter what it is... More

The central plaza with lovely trimmed trees and wrought iron benches, ideal for people watching. Busy all hours of the day and night.
