The Parroquia is open on Sundays from 7 am till about 1 pm. It is a beautiful church from the outside as well as the inside. Anyone can attend a services there. Though the 12 am service goes till 1:30 unlike the earlier ones which only last an hour. If you don't wish to stay for a service you can... More

A must see when in downtown San Miguel! Also, stick around and watch the cathedral light up at dusk. Grab a park bench across the street and get comfy. I recommend buying a corn on the cob or a homemade ice cream while you hang out at the park.

The Parroquia is the centerpiece of the center of San Miguel. Its pink facade built in the 1880's is unlike any other in Mexico and the world. The interior built in the 17th century is a pleasure to see, attend mass, or just go to quietly meditate.

San Miguel is built around the Parraquia...it is the heart and soul of the City. Picturesque is an understatement. Outside the architecture is stunning and the environment is celebratory. Inside it is a marvel of 15th century wonder. We actually attended a worship service...the place was packed...and, while we didn't understand Spanish - and not even Catholic - it was... More

Amazing to see both outside and inside. The charm of the city is clear to see with this beautiful building next to the Jardin in the center of town. The streets around the Jardin are closed so its a wonderful place to walk around and soak in the culture and people watch. We even got to see a wedding going... More

Night pic's are the best!!! The ambiance of the SM really comes alive around the Parroquia ...the old world architecture is something one can't stop gazing at in awe. It's truly quite amazing. It took me back to Barcelona for a minute (not longer) due to the fact that SM has some of the friendliest people I have experienced. These... More

Last year we visited Notre Dame in Paris and this year the Mexican version! This church is Glorious. If you can, try to take pictures of both day and night, as the lights bring out a special look that cannot be accomplished in day light. The square, as with most main squares in Mexico is always full of life! In... More
