This place is off the chart when it comes to architecture, stone work and prominence. I stood before it and could not believe its beauty. A step inside seals the deal, it is magnificent beyond belief and I believe now.... how did they get those bells up there...?!

We were robbed today in San Miguel while visiting the churches in San Miguel. It is indeed a ver beautiful place, but very insecure. We parked on a highly transited street with permitted parking around 11am, about 2 hours later we returned to found out that we have been robbed. Somehow the thieves managed to opened our car and stole... More

La Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, the current parish church located almost in the middle of downtown, is unique and the emblem of the town. It has a Neo-gothic façade with two tall towers and was built in the 17th century with a traditional Mexican façade. It is a must visit for it's architectural beauty and fantastic interior views. A truly inspiring and amazing experience. Definitely will be back again. Not religious but awe inspiring nonetheless.

This is the symbol for San Miguel de Allende and its gothic facade was an addition by mason Gutierrez in the late 1800's. There is lots of religious art inside and it graces the El Jardin . In the shade of El Jardin you will find many citizens and visitors sitting on the lovely provided benches and enjoying this beautiful... More

This church is lovely inside and out. Best photos in morning and at night when it is all lit. Great Christmas site.

We live about an hour away and love spending the weekend in San Miguel. The place to hang and see the sites is in front of the Parroquia. Watching weddings come & go, children playing, mariachi music, actually going inside the church is nice. Very beautiful but the excitement is in the church yard and around the town. I let... More

This church is HUGE! Very nice outside and inside. The architecture is one of the most beautiful I've seen. I recommend to visit it.

The Parroquia is without a doubt the signature view of San Miguel de Allende. It is a beautiful church dating from about 1570. The facade was built in the 1880's in gothic style and contains eight bells which are rung by bellringers on a regular basis. It is located in the Jardin, in the historic central plaza of town.
