This place is magic. Take the trolley for a guided tour around the town. It's better if you walk around the downtown.

San Miguel de Allende Mexico is a fun and easy place to visit. The bus system both for in-town travel and further attractions is easy to use, safe, on time and provides frequent schedules. Sitting at the Jardin and people watching is a great way to pass the time and meet people. Every time I hung out there, I met... More

The outside is beautiful enough but it's worth taking the few steps up to go inside. We spent a lot of time in this area and the doors wore always open. They frown on picture taking inside.

This parish church is unique in Mexico and the iconic symbol of San Miguel Allende. Its Neo-gothic facade with two tall towers is one of the most photographed churches in Mexico and is an internationally recognized landmark. The church was completed in 1730, but the neo-gothic tower of the Parroquia was added in 1880. It is said that the master... More

The Parroquia and the adjacent Jardin are the focal point of SMA. We spent many hours almost every day sitting in the Park and watching the people go by. ON Fri. evenings the wedding parties would form there and parade through the streets. If you are there on a Fri. this is an ABSOLUTE MUST. The weddings are then held... More

The architecture is amazing and the history of its construction. I was a little freaked by the fact that the priests are buried underground.
