I am into church interiors so this was not disappointing! The inside is like a work of art. It is a practicing church so the peaceful prayers of parishioners echoed in the background. A must see. A time to relax in a pew and take it all in.

Great backstory on this. Built from a picture on a postcard in the late 1800's. Sits on a large square with shops and eating establishments all around. Always has folks coming and going for weddings, christenings and so on. Sit on a bench across the street and enjoy the human parade.

Great place to seat down and enjoy the people come by! The church is just across from the main square, and or Plaza. Also if you're feeling a bit home sick, just head to the starbucks across from the main square. but anywhere you go while there, you wont be dissapointed

While the facade of this church is definitely 19th century, the interior dates back 100+ years before that. The confluence of architectural styles lends a weight to this building that you can feel. Take a moment and sit inside & just absorb it. It will change your view of SMA. Do not miss this church!

We went to mass to La Parroquia, the mass was beautiful and touching. The architecture, the colors and the structure are amazing. I want to return soon!

The main square where the church is located was filled with families and fun. Strolling mariachis, mime and clowns. Lots of smiles and new friends. Colorful balloons and photos with a cowboy's horse. Great home made ice cream and other snacks

This church looms large whether admiring it from the Jardin or from a hill overlooking the city. The real treat is wandering around the historic quarter at night, when the whole community comes out, and seeing this pretty structure illuminating the scene.

Many think this is a cathedral, but it is officially a parish church. Facing the jardín, it is clearly the dominant church in town, and with its soaring spires, it has the look of a 19th century Gothic revival building. The facade is an extravaganza of detail, none of it exactly what you might find in Europe, but more like... More
