Fabrica is a wonderful place to visit in San Miguel. On the way there visit the Arte de Michoacán just down the street for authentic and beautiful artwork. Fabrica is full of excellent local art and furniture. The building itself is an old textile mill. Bring your camera! My favorite artist there is Juan Escuirdia!

Truly fine art. The place goes on and on, with each gallery better than the last. I could spend hours and hours exploring!

An old textile mill converted into more than 70 galleries displaying original art works, furniture, clothing, glassworks, antiques, etc. There are two restaurants. You can easily spend a very enjoyable day viewing, shopping, and eating.

Just walk or take a $2 taxi to this. Wander. Enjoy. What's not to like about a melange of art, design, and antique shops in this exceptional city.

You can find inexpensive to expensive here. If you are a lover of Guatamalan fabrics ......there is a simply wonderful store here with more of their beautiful fabrics than I have ever seen ...we were there a very long time ...and it was very hard to choose from the very large selection. Back home we may seen a few pieces... More

I liked the art and the galleries a lot, and I really liked the architecture of this historic former factory. It's well worth a visit. If you are there for one of the monthly art strolls, you will find all of the galleries open friendly people from different countries to mingle with, and free wine and snacks.

Aurora is a place where you can go back time and time again. You never know what you'll find that will intrique you. Once I wandered into Gallery Calderoni and was amazed by the charming sculptures from Chiapas. Two in particular caught my eye. I thought about them over night and now they both grace my courtyard and greet my... More

The Saturday art party in the evening when you can meet artists, have some wine and hear live music. A maze of beauty! (Ck to see when the events are)

really cool place, very worth the time if you're into art & design. Quite a dusty walk from downtown, though--doable, but we wished we had taken a cab & saved our energy for nicer walks.
